As a registered user, I'd prefer a choice of unique (only I use it)
personalized icons. That way, when I'm chatting, I'll visually know who is
in the chat. This will also make it easier to follow the chat, focusing on
the conversation rather than needing to carefully read printed user names.

I think a few icons should be allowed, but not any icon from anyone, as
that much
freedom would open the system up to abuse.
The icons would be added by the chat owner and would be selectable through
some quick
process of a few clicks.

Yes, your icon will stay the same unless you change it.
