Dear friends,

Thanks for all the effort for our Jan 17 SustainABLE event!  I've had great feedback from students and staff on the event.  Now all we need is a logo and catchy name!!

Jan, let's make sure to keep Forrest in the loop because there were plenty of people that want to know more about his work!  Hopefully we can organize a little committee trip to Kent Ridge to see the energy saving modules they are working on.

Key points for follow-up:
  • Recycling on BTC -  We need to push OES on this
  • Maintenance hotline
  • Look at NUS Energy Policy (it exists!) - Looks primarily at energy, recycling, natural spaces. Aims to reduce carbon emissions by 23% by 2020 (electricity, vehicles).  Maybe as a committee we can look at the NUS Energy Policy and see if there are gaps?
  • Food wastage is no longer being looked after because of the closure of the one service that did it.  Is there something we can do in this area?
Let me know if anyone is interested in following up any of these topics.

Next event:  Feb 15

Our next event will be on Feb 15 and Jan will be organizing this one.  Jan, please let us know what we need to do to help.

Carol, please circulate the list of names/emails that attended our event which will help Anna for publicity later.

Thanks again everyone!  Looking forward to a fun semester with our committee.

Lucy

Hey Lucy,

Thank YOU :)

I can push OES regarding recycling on BTC.

And lets all read the NUS Energy/Climate Change Policy to see if we can find any gaps. We can discuss it in our next meeting.

And Anna already has the list, I gave it to her after the talk.

NEXT MEETING: 29/January. Is it a good day to everyone?

Cheers!

Carol.
