To Whom It May Concern:

I am a resident of San Diego, but only visit the beach at La Jolla a few times a year.  However, I am very interested that a permanent rope be erected to protect the seals that have taken residence at the Children's Pool.  This is one, if not the only, place where people can view seals without driving a long way and/or paying money to see creatures that are native to our area.  I know I enjoy watching them and they delight children who view them too.  There are other beaches nearby where humans can go, so I urge that you allow a permanent rope barrier for the area which was declared a Marine Protected Area by resolution in 2009.
