I suggest the LJCPA record all meetings with an audio recording that is available on request only for a fixed length of time. This will provide a record of the meeting in case of a future question about something said at the meeting or a question about the minutes.
If recording is not required it could happen that the meeting is not recorded and a question may arise later. i.e. the secretary is absent or doesn't want to record. It is just a good back up for many reasons.
