I have a Samsung tablet, the sim version. Can I use whatsapp directly or do I need to use the tablet only as linked to another mobile? I have downloaded whatsapp but it asks me to link a device. I can make calls, send sms, etc. from the tablet but cannot make whatsapp to work independently.
Edit: Solved this. On the "link to device" screen, there is a 3 dot menu on top right, which has an option to add a new account (i.e., mobile number). I selected that option, it took me to the 'enter number' option, got the otp and now I can make whatsapp to work independently. Possibly, on tablets, Samsung/Whatsapp presume that by default you want to link it to a device. Thanks everyone :)
Hi - I have the identical problem to you. And I have also done everything that you have done. I have also tried contacting Samsung and Whatsapp and there is no reply. I have uninstalled whatsapp so many times that it also even kicked me out of verification for 48 hours. Again - reinstalled and still the same problem. HELP PLEASE
I just spent two hours with Samsung support trying to get my issue resolved. The issue is that I am unable to send video over whatsapp. Videos that are forwarded from other phones I can upload without an issue - just not videos shot in the S22. Four different 'customers service' people took remote control of my phone and did all...the problem is still there. Ultimately they terminated the chat ....never known samsung customer service to be this bad
My WhatsApp icon has recently disappeared from my phone completely. It's neither on the home screen, nor the main menu. When I go to the Google Play store, it shows that it's part of my installed applications. I uninstalled and re-installed the app, but it still doesn't show the main icon, so I'm unable to even open it... Even though it says it's installed on my Samsung Galaxy S2.
