83rd LIVINGSTON-WARD FAMILY REUNION

Happy new Year! Yes, we are alive and well in Wisconsin. We are
planning on hosting the next L/W Reunion on July 24, 2010, at our home
outside Amery, Wisconsin. the day's agenda will begin about 11 a.m.
with gathering and "meet and greet" (also horseshoe pitching, ladder
golf, trampoline, etc.). The noon meal will be catered in with a
free-will offering to cover expenses. Following the noon meal there
will be entertainment of some sort (local singing group, etc.), the
annual meeting,including an updating of family history, more visiting
time and/or a free pontoon ride on Lake Wapogasset (one mile away!).
We hope to have a supper meal and visiting time available for those
who plan to stay over night. If there are some over-nighters they are
invited to attend Jerry and Kathy's congregations the next day,
Sunday, at Deronda Lutheran(9:00 a.m.) or Little Falls Lutheran (10:30
a.m.)(one mile away from their house) A meal will also be available
for those folks at noon.
Amery has a very nice motel,The Forrest Inn (715-268-4100) and New
Richmond and Baldwin are small towns nearby. I also have 2
congregations who have many folks very willing to house anyone wanting
to come overnight (Friday and/or Saturday). Of course,they would have
to be willing to deal with Lutherans!!! We also have 7 acres on which
RV's or tent arrangements could easily be arranged. Just let us know
of your plans and we'll do our best to host you and yours.
We are excited to have this event here this summer. We know some are
coming for the first time, and some who have not been in attendance
for decades! Mildred Livingston (Charles, Cyrus, Jesse) lives 20
minutes from our house in New Richmond. she celebrated her 97th bday
in January! Larry and Carol Livingston (son of Jesse,Cyrus, Jesse)
are also coming from Madison,WI. Anna Schultz also plans to come from
Greenville, Pennsylvania.
We urge the Lincoln area folks to come up and enjoy a weekend in
Wisconsin! Please pass the word and let us know of your intentions so
we can post such news and encourage others. Some of my best memories
growing up have to do with the Reunions at Bethany Park with the
Weeping Water crowd. Please consider renewing such memories and
creating some for your children!!!
