How to Use a Plagiarism Checker for UNSW Students

Turnitin is integrated with Moodle, the learning management system used by UNSW. To submit your work to Turnitin, you need to follow these steps:

Another tool that is available to UNSW researchers to check their research outputs for plagiarism is iThenticate. iThenticate is similar to Turnitin but it has a larger database of scholarly publications and it does not store the submitted documents in its database. iThenticate can help researchers detect plagiarised material in draft manuscripts and Higher Degree Research (HDR) theses prior to submission. To access iThenticate, you need to contact your supervisor or faculty research office.
