Why Pakistan continues to follow RAW’s tailor-made Kasab tale

While the Indian government is constantly avoiding the resumption of
composite dialogue with Pakistan, hiding behind the notions of
Pakistan not taking stringent action against those who, according to
the flaw full, farcical and tailor-made custodial confession statement
of the so-called lone surviving accused of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks,
the Pakistan government is keeping mum and continues to act upon in
accordance with laugh-buster dossier of New Delhi which is 100% based
on Ajmal Kasab’s custodial statement from which has already re-traced.
It is a great irony that a copy of the said custodial statement, upon
which India created the entire hullabaloo against Pakistan, was never
made available to press either by the Indian government or the
Pakistani authorities. The Indian government had given the copy of the
said statement but this statement was provided in Marathi, a regional
language of India and not in English. However, after repeated request,
the Indian government arranged an authenticated translation of the
same and officially provided this translated copy to Pakistan. The
Daily Mail, after hectic efforts of months, finally managed to get
hold of a Xerox copy of this statement through establishing sources at
New Delhi and Mumbai. Ironically, even an of the cuff study or a
roughest revision of this statement clearly indicates that the
custodial statement is nothing else but a farcical, tailor-made
document, prepared by Indian Intelligence agency Research & Analysis
Wing (RAW) with comprehensive efforts to ensure the involvement of
certain Pakistani personalities including the Pakistan Army officers.
It emerges as an undeniable fact that even a third rated lawyer would
torn apart this fancy RAW tale in a court room as it is full of
outlandish flaws, outrageous blunders and preposterous mistakes.
However, surprisingly, the Pakistan government, at no stage,
challenged this bizarre and ridiculous statement which was otherwise
the nucleus of floppy Indian dossier. Not just that Pakistan
government never rejected this statement, it in fact started acting to
deliver in accordance with this statement, owing to some mysterious
pressure and is continuously doing so while even the accused Ajmal
Kasab has shown the courage to disown this statement.
The Daily Mail is here not publishing the full content of this
childish statement of Kasab, drafted by RAW but is also giving the
basic analysis that easily prove as how immature and unauthenticated
this statement is.
To start with, accused Ajmal Kasab instead of being forced to make a
statement, volunteers to make a confessional statement before a
magistrate and that too not in a court room. In the beginning, instead
of just telling the magistrate his name, his father’s name and his
residential whereabouts, the accused opts to tell the whereabouts of
all his near and far family numbers, coupled with their cellular phone
numbers and area codes. The accused, who was having no diary or any
other log or paper with him, narrates each and every detail with exact
dates, months, time, locations and phone numbers as if he was
maintaining a diary or was scripting a book through out, though he
otherwise claims that he was just a grade four dropout, meaning that
he studied in school only up to grade 3 and left the school in grade 4
and that too in an Urdu medium village school. The statement indicates
that the accused possesses such a spectacular memory that he remembers
the minutes and completely irrelevant information regarding the
personalities that he came across as far as 8 years back. At one
stage, the accused states that he went to Lahore along with his father
in search of labour in year 2000 He recalls that there they stayed at
house number 12, lane number, 54, Tohidabad and that the house was
from Mr. Haji Qamar. Genius…., isn’t he? He not only remembers the
exact address after that many years but also remembers that name of
the person whom his uncle and father rented the said house from. Then
the accused comes up with a very strange and unbelievable thing as he
says that after developing difference with his father back at village,
he again came to Lahore and stayed at “Ali Hajveri’s Dargah” here the
RAW drafters of the statement made the first major blunder as in
Pakistan the Shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri is only know as Daata Darbar
or Daata Saab and nobody in any part of Pakistan is familiar with the
name Ali Hajveri Dargah and the term ‘Dargah’ for a holy shrine or
mausoleum is used only in India, a fact that speaks loudly for itself.
Despite the fact that the accused continues to divulge through out in
the typical accent as he pronounces Z instead J etc, the statement
further says that while the accused was visiting Lahore in search of
some labour’s job along with his friend, he saw two members of Lashkar-
e-Tayyiba who were collecting skins of sacrificed animals for
generating funds by selling the skins to help the oppressed people of
Indian Occupied Kashmir. The accused that (all out of the blue) by
seeing those two men, ( who were disgustingly carrying blood-soaked,
stinking goat skins and were not in some fancy commando uniforms and
smart guns) he and his friend developed a great respect for them and
also developed the feeling to go for Jihad to help the people of
Indian Occupied Kashmir. At no stage, the accused states that he had
any religious tilt or he attended any Madrassah(religious education
school) or even that he was a regular mosque going Muslim but suddenly
he developed a devotion for Jihad while he, otherwise was a satisfied
labourer, having nothing to do with political or social or , for that
matter, religious issues.
Down in the statement, the accused further states that he worked with
a tent service company in Jehlum and surprisingly, orally remembers
the area code and phone number of his employer at Jehlum not only this
but also recalls the cell number of his employer’s son too. Here it
appears that the RAW draftsmen of the statement had worked strongly on
some tent service pwner in Jehlum and had his and his son’s phone
numbers available and added them to the statement, just to add some
colours as otherwise it is not completely irrelevant to mention them
in the statement but is also completely unbelievable that a grade 4
drop out should be orally remembering all those phone numbers along
with the area codes and service providers’ codes. The accused further
states that he and his friend took the address of the offices of
Jamaat-u-Daawa as by that time, Lashakar-e-Tayyiba had been banned and
it started operating with the new brand name of Jamaat-u-Daawa. Wow,
what a literate and updated labourer Ajmal Kasab was that while being
an ordinary labourer, he had all the knowledge that which organization
is banned when and then under which name it restarted, great. The
accused further says that he and his friends went to the offices of
Lashkar in Rawalpindi where they simply expressed their desire to be
enrolled as Jihadis and were simply enrolled the very next day and
were sent for training at Jamaat-u-Dawa headquarters in Muridke. The
whole process did not involve any verification of the weherabouts of
the accused by Lashkar people and it appears that if the Lashkar
people were simply waiting for any body to come and to be enrolled for
jihad straight away even if he is from any spy agency or an operative
of a foreign country whatsoever. The accused further states that he
was enrolled at the training centre where he was given a 21-day
training along with other youngsters and met with Hafiz Saeed, Zaki-ur-
Rehman Lakhvi etc. the accused further states that after that
training, he was given an address of Mansehra training camp for
another training. As you will read the text of the accused’s
statement, given below, you will be surprised to see that this
illiterate labrourer from a remote village of Punjab is literate
enough to remember the code names of all the training programs by
heart with full Arabic accents. You will clearly observe that the RAW
draftsmen were confused because of the road conditions of Pakistan and
India and that is why they much longer journey times from one city to
another city in the statement that they created. It appears that the
RAW men mentioned the times of different journeys of Ajmal Kasab,
keeping in mind the time it takes in India to cover a similar distance
in kilometers as the roads situation in India takes much more time
that what it takes in Pakistan
The accused states that he reached Mansehra from where he went to a
mountain near a village named Buttal fromn where he walked for
(specifically) 30 minutes and then reached the training centre that
was situated at the peak of a mountain. Perhaps it was the world’s
only secret commando training centre that was located on the peak of
the mountain instead of being situated at some valley or other hidden
area. The accused states that at the 21-day training at this centre,
he and others were trained to parade, run, climb mountains and opening
and assembling of automatic and semi automatic weapons. (something,
which any army in the world, with most advanced facilities, won’t be
able to do to with regards to training its soldiers with less than a
year’s training but this genius was trained within just 21 days and
what he was trained is called a comprehensive infantry training). The
accused states that after this training he and some others were sent
from Mansehra to to Okara district of Punjab, just to collect a chit.
The purpose of RAW behind including this into the tale is to prove
that the Lashkar has its offices in Okara district at a particular
location too. The accused says that after receiving a sealed chit from
Okara office he was sent to Muzaffarabad office of Lashkar. Here the
RAW geniuses lose complete grip over the script as the RAW script that
the accused was reading before the magistrate says that “ I reached
Muzaffarabad. Muzaffarabad is located in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir
(POK)”, well the POK or Pakistan Occupied Kashmir is the term that
only the Indians use as this part of the Kshmir is referred to as Azad
Kashmir (Independent Kashmir) in Pakistan and particularly for a
person, who claims to be fighting for the independence of Indian
Occupied Kashmir, using the term of POK or Pakistan Occupied Kashmir
is totally unbelievable but RAW’s draftsmen committed this blunder
while preparing Kasab statement.
The accused states that at this training facility, he was introduced
to person who was introduced to him and others as Major General Saab
and it was told that all the trainess were being trained on his
desire. Now it is very simple here that by drafting this part, the RAW
men wanted to indicate to the world that a Pakistan Army Officer, with
the rank of a Major General was heading the training process. It is
otherwise crystal clear that nobody is socially introduced like this
as a Major general or a Lieutenant General is simply introduced as a
General along with his name while specific mentioning of his exact
rank is made only officially in the documents etc but not in a
gathering and that too when the participants of the gathering are
simply labourers like Ajmal Kasab.
The accused further states that during this training, one day his
trainer gave him just 1300/= rupees and asked him to pay a visit to
his home. In this whole episode so far, this merely Rs.1300/= is the
only money, mentioned by accused as a financial support that he got
from his mentors during some 4 months while he, as a labourer could
have earned ten times more that that just during one month as a
labrour and nonetheless he bore all the traveling expenditures from
his own pocket during all the training related traveling.
The accused states that after this training, they were again sent to
Muridke for an advanced training of one month. During this period,
they were given top level intelligence training (Which even the CIA
would take at least a year or six month to train a spy to the level
to). The accused states that in this training they were also taught as
to how to get rid of a vehicle if one finds are followed by a car. The
accused states that they were taught to the tactics like giving
indicator to one direction and turning the car to another direction
suddenly etc. (however this training was giving without even giving
the training of how to drive a vehicle at first place and that too to
illiterate labourers like the accused himself. The accused states that
during this training, the Major General Sahib kept visiting the camp
and one day Major General Sahib asked hafiz Saeed to give him a
demonstration by the trainees. The accused states that at one stage
Major General aske Hafiz Saeed “Hafiz Jee Set up the targets” now it
is again where RAW looses the grip over the script as words Like Hafiz
Jee of lets say adding Jee after someone’s name is not a practice in
Pakistan but in India as in Pakistan word Sahib or Saab is added to
one’s name to add respect. The accused further states that Major
general Saab directed the trainers to arrange marine training to the
trainees after which they were taken to Karrachi where a person with
the name of Hakimsaab gave them a comprehensive Marine training within
just three days. During this 3-day marine training, the accused
states, they were trained to read and use the maps, to fathom the
depth of sea, to use the most advanced equipments like the GPS for
marine routes to fling the fishermen’s net etc (the training that any
marine academy in the world would take at least three years but the
genius Hakimsaab managed to achieve this target just within 3 days.
The accused also states that they were briefed about the targets in
Mumbai and the roads of Mumbai through CDs and maps of Google Earth.
One wonders as to how genius a grade 4 dropout must be to learn all
this through Google Earth maps and CDs. The accused easily narrates
the otherwise complicated names of the targets in Mumbai. The accused
states that they were told by Hafiz Saeed that during the attack at
VTS station, they must carry out indiscriminate firing without
considering if the targets were Muslims of non-Muslims. However they
were told that at Oberoi and Taj hotels, they must target only
Americans, Britons and Israelis without harming the Muslims. Now this
clearly indicates that this has been added by RAW to gain sympathies
of American, British and Israelis as no such orders be given because
the attackers were not supposed to check the passports or
nationalities of the targets before killing them in indiscriminate
attack through firing and grenades. Furthermore there was no mean to
differentiate between Americans, Britons, Israelis or any other white
skinned people at the time of attacks. The accused also recalls the
name of the magazine that he recalls as a publication of Lashkar-e-
Tayyiba which he saw at a house where he stayed at Karachi. What a
great literary figure the accused must be and what a memory he
possesses.
The accused states, recalling the name of the Indian boat “Kubar” that
was abducted during the voyage to Mumbai that the engine that was
fixed in the boat was made of the Japanese company the Yamaha.( what a
great and sharp auto engineer the accused must be that he straightaway
focused on the name of the company that manufactured the engine of the
boat and also stored it in his memory. The accused states that all the
ten Jihadis were given around one thousand Indian Rupees each ( for
such a high profile terror operation’s execution. The accused also
narrates the list of ammunition and edible items with their brand
names. The accused also states that he had to seek the orders on Phone
from his mentors in Pakistan as to what to do to the captured boat’s
captain ( as if it was not earlier included in the plan) and then he
took his own decision of killing him. The accused also state that upon
their arrival at Mumbai, they found that they were already around one
and a half hour late than the fixed time plan, while everything was to
be executed according to prefixed timings. ( such a high profile
operation was delayed without any reason for about one and a half
hour) the accused also states that the team leader of his team forgot
his mobile phone on the Kubar ship and also forgot to release the
valve of ship Kubar which was supposed to sank it as they saw some
navy boat coming towards them and had to leave the boat in a hurry
( well than what was that intelligence training and marine and
fishermen’s training given them to if they had to panic by seeing a
navy boat?) The accused states while remembering each and every minute
of the incidents that they reached the shores of Mumbai and got into
taxis to reach their respective destinations. The accused does not
state as to how they got managed to hire taxis easily with such huge
caches of arms and ammunition with them. The accused further states
that after completing the operation at VTS station, the failed to find
a taxi and then started looking for stealing some car from the parking
to reach the next target (while they did not know how to drive and
also in the pre-planned operation, there was no mentioning of using
self driven cars but the entire operation was based on taxis as only
mod of transportation). The accused also state that in the process
they entered into an unknown building to avoid police and later found
that the said building was an hospital and then and there they decided
to kill the women and children at that hospital as a bonus but could
not do so as all the doors of hospital rooms were locked from inside.
(As if there was no plan intact and they were free to carry out
operations at different places on their own wills. The accused states
that in the end, he and his companion were arrested after being
injured and were taken to hospital in an ambulance by police where he
straight away told the doctors and police about his and his partner’s
true identities. And this is how this high profile terrorists that
otherwise unleashed hell on India, spilled the beans straightaway, in
seconds after being arrested and while he was yet to be interrogated
or tortured by cops of investigators.
Following is the complete text of the statement of the accused, the
readers are the best judges to form an opinion after reading this
complete statement.
What do you wish to state?
My name is Mohammad Azmal Mohammad Amir Kasab. I was born on 13th
September, 1987. 1 am a resident of Pakistan. The address of my town
is village Faridkot, Tahsil Dipalpur, District Okara, State Punjab,
Pakistan. I have studied up to fourth standard in Urdu in Government
Primary School of Faridkot. My father Mohammad Amir Shahaban Kasab, my
mother Noor-e-Ilahi, younger brother Muneer, younger sister Suraiyya
reside in my village. The mobile number of my father is 0301 7363886.
My elder sister Rukayya lives in Chak Mahammad Yaar Chisti, Pathankot,
District Okara, State Punjab, Pakistan with her husband Mohammad
Hussain. My elder brother Afzal lives in Majang Adda, Safawala Chowk,
Lahore, Pakistan with his wife Safiya
My uncle Isak Shahaban Kasab lives with his sons Ghulam Nabi,
Bakhtyar, Rauf, Farukh lives to Chak Mohammad Yaar Chisti, Pathankot,
District Okara, State Punjab, Pakistan. So also my second uncle Ghulam
Farid Shahaban Kasab with his son Hussain and the third made Nazir
Shababan Kasab with his sons Nashar, Mubashshar and Mudassar five at
the same address. My youngest uncle Ghulam Rascal also lives with my
father.
My maternal uncle Manzoor Hanif Kasab lives in Shafawala Chowk, Majan
Adda, Lahore, Pakistan with his sons Ahmed Manzoor, Ali Manzoor and
Maksood Manzoor and daughter Mariam. My aunt's (mother's sisters)
husband Abbas lives with his family in village Velilakkha, Tahsil
Dipalpur, District Okara, State Punjab, Pakistan The number of his

I have got one aunt, my mother's sister, we call her Mamo and she
lives in Velilakkha, Tahsil Dipalpur, District Okara, State Punjab,
Pakistan.
I have got two aunts, my father's sisters. One is Sakina and the other
is Halima. Both of them live in their in-laws' place. One lives in
Havli and the second one lives in the grandpa's village i.e. in Chak
Mohammad Yaw Chakshi. My maternal uncle and aunt, mother's sister,
have grown up children.
My house at Faridkot has been purchased by my father. He earned his
living by running a stall. I have great hobby of seeing TV and Hindi
movies. I have seen movies Sholay, Lawaris, Veer Zara, Ashiqui, Beta
again and again. I am addicted to eating tobacco. I had great
friendship with Dr. Majhar of my village. The dispensary of Dr. Majhar
was by the side of the bus stop of Faridkot.
After I left the school in the year 2000, 1 started doing labour jobs
along with my fiend Ditto from Faridkot. In 2001 I went to Lahore
along with my father for service. There I was staying with my father
and Uncle Ghulam Rasool in house no 12, lane no. 54, Tohidabad
neighbourhood near vegetable market in a rented house of Haji Qamar.
At the instance of father I started doing labour work at laborers'
comer. I worked at that place for close to five years. In 2005 my
father and uncle went to our village. At that time I was staying alone
in Lahore in a rented place. At that time I used to visit my house.
There was a quarrel between my father and myself on the issue of the
money I had earned, I left the house in anger and started staying in
Lahore at Ali Hajveri Darga.At that place one fiend by name Shafique
arranged ajob for me in Welcome Tent Service at Zelum, Sarai Alam Or,
Ravalpindi Road. The telephone number of the owner of the Welcome Tent
Service Haji Sultan was 0544 653558 and his son Imuan's telephone
number was 0300 5437305. The owner of the Welcome Tent Service used to
call me 'Baalakaa". Here I developed good friendship with Muzaffar Lal
Khan who was working with me.We two went to Lahore some time in
November in the year 2007 in search of good work. There we started
living on rent in Bangash colony. During this period some time in
December-07 we saw persons of Lashkar-e-Toiba carrying the skin of a
goat in the name of `Jamaat-ul-Daawa' during Bakra Id. They were
stating to collect skins of the sacrificed and to help in freeing
Kashmir. After seeing this, respect was generated in our hearts for
these people. We both pondered about these people that they were
fighting for freeing Kashmir. We started thinking that we should also
do something for our people. When we were working in the Sarni Alam
Gir, at that time the people of the Jamat-ulDava were arranging their
camps at different places. We both used to go to these camps and
listen to their statements. At that time we both decided to take
training for preparing for Jihad. After the Lashkar-e-Toiba was banned
in the year 2002 this group had started functioning as Jamaat-ul-
Daawa, In December-2007 we both collected the address of the office of
the Lashkar-e-Toiba from a Maulavi and reached the office of the
Lashkar in 'Raja Bazaar, Rawalpindi'. 'This office was near the
Bangash colony. After we reached the office, we met with two persons
in the office, they asked us the purpose of our visit that time we
told them that we wanted to go on jihad- They took down our names and
addresses in details and asked us to come the next day with clothes.
The next day we both reached the office. At that time one person from
the office wrote on a chit `Daura-a-sufa markas toiba Muridke' and
told us the address of Muridke and asked us to go there. We both
proceeded to that address. After a bus journey of six hours we reached
the Muridke Bus Stand. From there we walked for about one and a half
kilometer and reached the gate of the training camp we showed the chit
to the person there and told him that we had come for Daura-e-sufa. We
were permitted inside after being searched; we both arrived in an
office. There we showed the chit to a person by name Fahadullah. He
noted down our names and addresses and included us in the training.
There were 30 other youths with us in the training of Daura-e-sufa.
During the 21 day training we were first converted from Sunni to Ahle-
Hadis and were taught the contents of Hadis, In this training the
teachers used to take parade. In addition they used to describe Jihad
and mercy in jihad. During this period we had both Fahadullah and
Mufti Said as our teachers- This training took place between
December-2007 to January200S. During this training we were met with
Aamir Hafz Said of Lashkar-e-Toiba, Operational Commander Zaki-ur-
Rehman Lakhvi, Area Commander Abu AI Kama, Muzammil alias Yusuf,
Training in Charge Abu Um-air Said, and Abu Hamja by the teacher Abu
Kafa. Zaki-m-Rehman Lakhvi is known by the name of Uncle and Lakhvi At
that time Kafa told us that Abu Umar Said arranged the training camps
of Lashkar-e-Toiba Question - What is the meaning of Aamir? Reply--
Aamir means a leader. Aamir Hefiz Said stated that "All the
Mujahiddins have to fight for freeing Kashmir". At that time Zaki-ur-
Rehman Lakhvi told us that “the time of jihad had come” and said
further, "Our community has been fighting in Kashmir since past
fifteen years. In spite of this the Government of Hindustan does not
free Kashmir. Now we have to attack Hindustan and take Kashmir." After
that Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi asked us, "Are you ready for this war" ? We
said that all of us were ready for war. At that time Abu Al Kama told
us, "We have to attack big cities of Hindustan. We will start the war
in Hindustan from inside. So that Hindustan will become hollow from
inside. Those who will be martyrs in this work will have heaven in
their fate” Myself and all my colleagues said at that time, "We are
prepared to attack Hindustan". In February, 2008 we were selected for
Daura-e-Ama training. The teacher Fahadullah gave us a chit 'Bhai
Vasool Daura-e-Ama' and dispatched us to the address of Mansera Markaj
Aksa. We reached Mansera Bus Stand after a journey of 12 hours by bus.
From there we reached hilly country on foot. There we were searched at
the gate. We showed the chit given by Fahadullah to the person there.
He brought us in the office. There a person in the office wrote down
in details information about us in a register. After waiting there for
the day, we were taken to Buttal village in a van. The driver of the
van got us down from the van and made us walk for about thirty minutes
and took us to the peak of the mountains. During this 21-day training,
we were given training of parade, running, climbing mountain, along
with opening-assembling and firing klashan, rifles, pistol. Question -
What is the meaning of klashan? Reply- the meaning of klashban is A.K
Rifle During this training the elder brother of Muzaffar took away
Muzaffar. If a Mujahid wished to go to his home after the Daura-e-Ama
training he is permitted to go to home. Else he can stay there for
three months for Khidmat. Question- What is the meaning of khidmat?
Reply- Khidmat means keeping an eye on the fresh mujahids who came for
training, to prepare food in the kitchen for them and render service
to them. I stayed back for rendering khidmat and started giving
khidmat to the mrjahids. In this khidmat for those who were under
training, Abu Abdul Rehman Yusuf, Abu Anas and Abu Bashir were their
teachers. I was doing the khidmat in March, April and May 2009. After
that my teacher Abu Abdul Rehman told me and other mujahidins with me
to go to the office of the Lashkar-e-Toiba in model town of Okara
District for Daura-e-Khasa. Accordingly we reached the Mansera Bus
Stand by the vehicle of the Lashkar-eToiba. From there, after a travel
of 12 hours, we reached the Lahore Lorry Adda Bus Stand. From there we
all reached the Okara Bus Stand by bus. From there we reached the
office of the Lashkar-r-Toiba adjoining a masjid at the square of a
lane in model town after walking a distance of about one kilometer.
There we told that we had come to collect a 'chit of Daura-e-Khasa'. A
person who was present there, after inquiring with us and after
investigating on telephone, wrote a chit Bhai Vasool' and handed over
the chit to us after seating it with the flag of Lashkar-e-Toiba
community and gave us the address of the training camp of Leshkar-e-
Toiba in Muzaffarabad. We all traveled from there by bus for 16/17
boors and reached Muzaffarabad. Muzaffarabad is located in P.O.K. From
there we walked for one bear and reached Sevai Nalla via the hospital
of Lashkar-e-Toiba. There are 10/12 houses and a masjid of the Lashkar-
a-Toiba at that place. That region is known as 'Baitul Mujahidin'. We
all gave the chit to a person by name Said and joined that training
that place is also known as 'Masker Aksa'. This place is located on
'Chehalabandi Mountain' of Muzaffarabad. There is tight security at
this training camp. There is a prohibition on going out and coming in
this training without the permission of the teacher. The teacher of
this training was Abu Maviya. This training took place in the months
of May, June and July 2008, In this two and half months' training we
were made confirmed jihadi. In it we were taught about Namaaz, Hadis
Qur'an. Along with that was taught opening assembling of klashan and
many rifles, pistols, to fire, to fire rocket launcher, to use hand
grenades. In addition training was given about satellite telephone,
GPS system, map reading, to climb mountain with load on the back after
staying hungry for sixty hours, Because of this training being very
difficult and tough, 10 mujahids ran away leaving the training. For
this training Abu Maviya and Abu Hanjala were the teachers. During
this training one unknown person Aamir Hafiz Said, Zaki-Ur-Rehman
Lakhavi and Kafa were present there had come. At that time Aamir Hafiz
Said and ZakiUr-Rehman Lakhavi embraced that person. At that time the
teachers Abu Maviya and Abu Hanjala saluted him like soldiers, At that
time Kafa told us "He is a Major General Saab and we, the persons
giving training, are his men only". The Major General Saab asked our
names and inquired about our training- He asked whether we had any
complaint about the training. We all said that there was no complaint.
The Major General Saab was talking for about one hour. Then tie left.
Question-What is the name of the Major General Saab? Reply We were not
told the name of the Major General Saab. After this training was
completed my teacher Abu Maviya gave me Rs. 1,300/- and told me to go
home and told me to reach the office of the Baitul Mujahidin of Aamir
Hafiz Said while returning. I stayed in my village for a week and
returned to reach the office of the Baitui Mujahidin of Aamir Hafrz
Said at the end of July 2008. From there the teacher Maviya took me to
the selection point of Sevai Nalla. There were 20/22 mujahidins like
me present there and in addition to Aamir Hafiz Mohammad Said,
Muzammil, Abu Hamza, teacher Maviya, Kafa, Abu Ai Kama were present.
There we were shown a C.D. on a lap top regarding how Salauddin had
carried out a tIdayini attack in Kashmir. After that Abu Al Kama told
us in details how fidayini snacks were made in Kashmir. Aamir Hafiz
Said selected us and gave us new names. He named me as Abu Mujahid.
Imran Babar, who was the resident of Multan, Punjab State, was given
the name Abu Akasba. Nasir of Faizalabad was named as Abu Umar and
Nazir Ahmed was named Abu Umer. Hafiz Arshad, resident of Multan Road,
Punjab, was given the name of Abdul Rehman (Bade) alias Hayaji. Abdul
Rehman (Chbota) of Arabwala, Multan Road, was given name Saktb. Soheb
who was a resident of Narowala, Shakkargad, Punjab was named Abu
Soheb. A colleague from Hujrawala, Rawalpindi was given the name Abu
Dajana by Hafiz Said. In the same way he named a colleague from
Arabwala, Multan Road as Abu Hamza Umar, and colleague from Kamoki
Hujrawata as Abu Zuber. A colleague from Karachi was given name of Abu
Al Kasam. A colleague from Kamirwala, Multan Road, was given the name
Abu Abdullah. A colleague from Okara, Multan Road was given the name
of Abu Nasad. One colleague from Hafiz Abad, Gujrawata Road, was given
the name of Abu Maviya. Another one colleague from Narowala,
Shakkargad was given the name of Abu timer Kala I do not remember now
the real names of some of my colleagues. On that day we were brought
to the office of the Baitul Mujabidin in the evening. After that, we
fifteen persons went to Markas Toiba Muridke for the Daura-eRibat
training. This training was of one month duration. The working of
intelligence agencies was taught in this training In it, to gather
information about the target, to keep watch on it, to follow it and if
some body is pursuing us how to mislead him. If some body is pursuing
you in a vehicle and if you wart to go to the left side, you switch on
the right side indicator and swiftly turn to the left side. That is
how you will come to know whether you are being followed. To mislead
by giving false introduction of yours so that you are not recognised
while you are on a mission The training in charge Abu Umar Said had
special attention on this training. He used to come often and inquire
with us about the training. During this training our colleagues Nasad
and Abu Maviya left the training and went away. The teachers for this
training were Abu Kafa and Ionian. During this training the Major
General Saab came there twice. After seeing our training he gave us
encouragement. This training was over at the end of August 2008. At
that time Muzammil alias Yusuf and Abu AI Kama had come there. The
Major General Saab had asked us at that time, 'Do you know swimming?’
We had told him then that we knew swimming. That time the Major
General Saab told Kafa, "Give them now the marine training”. That time
Kafa replied in the affirmative. After some days after this in
September 2008 Kafa took us to Karachi by railway. There we were
lodged in a house in Ajijabad neighbourhood. While staying in that
house, the Ramzan month started in September-2008. After two days Kafa
took us all 13 mujahidins to a creek. From there we went into the sea
of Karachi in two small boats. There we were placed in a mechanized
ship. On that ship one person by name Hakimsaab gave us marine
training of three days. During this marine training we were taught to
read and use a map, to fathom the depth of the sea, to use GPS for
marine routes, to fling the fishermen's net, to run a ship in details.
Question - Why was the training of flinging the net of fishermen given
to you? Reply - While travelling by sea the Navy persons of enemy
country make inquiries; the training was given to mislead them by
saying that we were fishermen. After this marine training Kafa took us
back to the Baitul Mujahidin. There Aamir Hafiz Said and Zaki-ur-
Rehman Lakhvi inquired with us about the marine training. After three
days Aamir Hafiz Said and Zaki-ur-Rehman sent 6 mujahidins 1) Abu
Dajana, 2) Abu Hamja, 3) Abu Al Kasam, 4) Abu Abdulla, 5) Abu Umer
Kala and 6) Abu Zuber to Kashmir for fidayini attack. On second day
only Abu Hamja included Ismail Khan, resident of Dera Ismail, Punjab
and Fahadulla of Okara, Punjab and Javed in our group. At that time
Hafiz Said named these three persons as Abu Ismail, Abu Fahadulla and
Abu Ali. And told us, "These three are fidayins like you. They have
also undergone training like you. They will be accompanying you for
attack in Hindustan." On the 13th day of Roza Aamir Said, Zaki-ur-
Rehman Lakhvi, Muzammil alias Yusuf, Abu AI Kama, Abu Hamjz, Abu Kafa
and Abu Amar Said all these called us in the office of the Baitul
Mujahidin. There Aamir Hafiz Said told all of us, "The time for jehad
has come. Now we have to decide how to attack Hindustan." After that
Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi said, `The financial status of Hindustan is due
to Bombay, that is why it is essential for us to attack Bombay. All
you mujahidins have undergone good training in respect of sea routes.
We will attack Bombay from the sea route." At that time the Major
General Saab came there. He embraced Aamir Hafiz Said and Zaki-ur-
Rehman Lakhvi and started talking with them by going away a little
distance. After some time he came near us. That time Zaki-ur-Rehman
Lakhvi told us, "The Major General Saab wants to see now how much is
your preparedness." Immediately we all were given one klashan each and
a magazine full of bullets and the Major General Saab said to Aamir
Hafiz Said, "Hafizji, set up the target". That time Hafiz Said told
Kafa to set up ten targets. The Major General Saab said, "When I will
say fire, you have to execute single firing and when I will repeat
fire two times, then you have to execute rapid firing" We ten people
took the position. The Major General Saab saw that position Afterwards
the Major General Saab said fire. After that we people immediately
executed single firing. Except Imran Babar every body else hit the
target. Aamir Hafiz Said abused Imran profusely. That tine the Major
General Saab said to Imran Babar, "pratcise properly to hit the
target". After that the Major General Saab asked all to take position.
We again took the position. The Major General Saab said fire two
times. Hearing that we all completely emptied the magazine. The Major
General Saab went near the targets, saw and spoke, "Who has fired at
the target number four?". That time I said, "1 did". Then the Major
General Saab said, "You have completely destroyed the target. I am
very much pleased" and then he said to others, "The target has to be
destroyed completely with less bullets." He pointed his finger to me
and said, " Firing should be executed like this mujahidin." ~ After
saying this much he went away. After that Kafa made us all meet with
one person named Jarar Shah Myself and Ismail asked Kafa about Jam
Shah. That time he told us that Jarar Shah and Ibrahim were the
leaders of the media wing of our community. Jarar Shah had great
knowledge of computers. He could telephone from Pakistan and mislead
that the call was made from some other country by making use of
computer technique. Jarar Shah and Ibrahim had set up a high tech
media room. In that maps of big cities of every country, C.D.'s and
other information had been collected. He would select a target from
that and tell Zaki-urRehman Lakbvi about it. After this Aamir Hafrz
Said and Zaki-ur-Rehman made 5 baddies from us 10 mujahidins. Question
- What is the meaning of baddies? Reply - Buddies means pairs. 1)
Myself and Ismail Khan, 2) Imran Babar and Nasir, 3) Soheb and Navy
Ahmed, 4) Hafiz Arshad alias Hayaji and Javed, 5) Abdul Rehman
(Chhota) and Fahadulla such paws were formed. At that time Zab-ur-
Rehman Lakhvi also told us, "You have to make a fidayiui attack by
going to Bombay on the 27" day of Row." Aamis Hafiz Said said to us,
"One Hindustani boat has to be high jacked for going to Bombay from
Karachi- You have to reach Bombay by taking that Hindustani boat. The
financial status of Hindustan is because of the foreign travellers.
Therefore it is necessary to attack on places where the foreign
travellers come and go and other places in order to hurt the financial
status of Hindustan." Question - What is the meaning of financial
status and foreign travellers? Reply - Financial status means the
power of money and foreign travellers means the people from other
countries wishing to wander - "You people have to carry out firing in
V.T.S. of Bombay, Malabar Hills, Taj hotel at Colaba, Leopold Hotel,
Oberoi Hotel and the Nariman House in which Israeli people are
staying, with klashan and simultaneously to throw hand grenades. While
firing you have to selectively pick up persons of American, British
and Israeli countries and kill them; because these people have
severely oppressed Muslims. At the time of firing in V.T.S- there will
be crowd on large scale; at that time you do not consider who was a
Hindu or a Muslim in the crowd. Without thinking go on firing However
while firing in the hotel you should keep in mind that no Muslim
succumbed in that attack." Saying so, Zaki-ur-Rehman Iakhvi told the
baddy, who were to attack Taj Hotel and Oberoi Hotel, to cause large
scale damages to these hotels by setting fire. At that time Zaki-ur-
Rehman said, “Before you carry out this attack you have to plant
R.D.X, bombs in the vicinity of the target. As a result of the traffic
jam due to the blast of these bombs the police and quite many people
who would be rushing for help at the time of the attack can get
killed." Aamir Hafiz Said had fixed 7.30 o'clock in the evening as the
time of the attack. At that time I asked him why to attack at that
hour. At that time Haftz Said told us, "At this hour there is
considerable crowd at the places of our target." and he told us to
attack at 7.30 only. After that Kafa Told us, "We will be giving to
all you ten mujahidins I-cards of fake Hindu names. You have to take
them and go to Hindustan. On the way you will wear string on hand like
Hindus". Ismail asked what was the necessary of that then Kafa told
us, "Because of these I-cards no body will stop you and you will be
easily successful in your mission. Even the police will be misled
because of the string on your hand." .4t that time we decided that
myself and Ismail would create 'a pile of dead bodies by firing at V.
T. S. and proceed from there to Malabar Hill and carry out firing
there. After firing in Hotel Taj by Hafiz Arshad and Javed, in Hotel
Oberoi by Fahadulla and Abdul Rehman (Chhota), in Nariman House by
Imran Behar and Nasir, in Hotel Leopold by Soheb and Nazir Ahmed, they
would reach Hotel Taj to help Hafez Arshad and Javed. At the time of
my going to V. T. S. in a taxi, Nazir Ahmed going to Leopold Hotel in
a taxi and Javed going to Taj Hotel, an RDX bomb would be planted
below the seat of the driver. We had decided this so that when the
taxi went to another place and the blast occurred, no body would know
about from where and how we had come. Other mujahidins would plant the
bombs by seeing the place at the time of the attack. The baddis of
Nariman House, Oheroi Hotel and Taj Hotel would talk to media stating
a lie that some persons had been held as prisoners and challenging the
Hindustani Government in respect of giving independence to Kashmir By
telling a lie that we were Hindustani Muslims, we would tell the media
exaggerated strength of ours and thus mislead them and create terror
in their minds. Aamir Hafiz Said told us that Abu Hamja would teach us
how to plant RDX bombs and how to blast them.
Aamir Hafiz Said, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Muzammil alias Yusuf, Abu Al
Kama, Abu Umar Said, Kafa, Abu Hamja and Jarar Shah took us 10
mujahidins in a big hall. After going to that hall we saw 2-3 TV's in
that room. larar Shah told us that that was the control room of the
media wing. He showed us all together different roads of Bombay on a
big screen and showed us our targets, At that time Jarar Shah showed
to me and Ismail Khan a C.D. of V. T. S and Malabar Hill. At the time
of showing the C.D. Jarar Shah was giving the information of roads
leading to V. T. S. and Malabar Hill in details. Kafa showed by the
map through the medium of the web site of Goggle Earth how to reach V
T. S. from the Badhwar Park of Bombay and from there to Malabar Hill.
At that time Kafa showed us some maps drawn by hand, and said,
"Sabauddin Ahmed and Faim Ansari of Hindustan have prepared these maps
and sent. With the help of these maps you will correctly reach the
place where you have to attack" Saying this, Kafa showed us the maps
and explained them to us. That time I asked where were Sabauddin and
Faim. That time Kafa told us that both of them were caught in
Hindustan. That time I asked Kafa why they were caught. That time Kafa
said, "They were caught during the attack on the police camp in Rampur
in Uttar Pradesh of Hindustan" Kafa showed us one map out of those
maps given by them and gave us the information about how much time
would be required to reach V T.S. from Badhwar Park and from there to
Malabar Hill. Kafa explained to us to tell the names of the Cooperage
ground and Azad ground to the taxi driver while going to V. T. S, In
the same way Kafa gave information to other baddies with the help of
C,D.'s, Google Earth and the maps sent by Sabauddin and Faim. Abu
Hanja and Kafa took us 10 mujahidins to the hills of Muzaffarabad on
15th Roza There we were made to practice firing by klashan by taking
position. At the same time we were taught how to prepare a tiffin bomb
of RD.X., how to blast the sane by attaching a timer to it. At that
time, at the instance of Aamir Hafiz Said, Abu Harris. and Kafa made
Imran Babar to have more practice of firing. Same tight we people
returned to Baiml Mujahidin. Kafa told us on 16th Roza to shave our
beard and take a hair cut. We were given new clothes, shoes and socks.
At the same time Kafa gave us watches with the time of Hindustan set
in it. On the same day we were photographed. On 17th Roza, Kafa took
us by rail to a house in Ajijabad neighbourhood of Karachi. There was
an urdu magazine 'Tayabat' in that house. In that magazine were
printed the names of six mujahidins, our colleagues, who had gone on
Kashmir Mission, because they had become martyrs in Kashmir. I asked
Kafa about them; that time Kafa said, "Our kids have become martyrs in
a clash with the Hundustani army. May Allah bestow heaven on them." On
l9th Roza, Kafa brought and gave 10 timers to us and explained to us
how time was set by attaching a battery to it. At the same time we
attached a tape of our name to the timer at the instance of Kafa and
Kafa took back those timers from us- During the same time as per plan
Kafa prepared I-cards with Hindu names of us all and gave them to us,
My 1-card was of Amnodaya Degree College, Bangalore and in the name of
Sameer Chaudhari, son of Dinesh Chaudhari. Ismail's I-card was of
Amnodaya Degree College, Hyderabad and in the name of Naresh Varma,
son of Vilas Varma, And the (cards of others were also from Amnodaya
College. Icards were prepared in the names for Nasir as Dineshkumar
Ravikumar, for Imran Babar as Arjunkumar Virkumar, for Abdul Rehman
(Chhota) as Arun Vikram Sharma, for Fahadulla as Rohit Deepak Pan[,
for Hafiz Arshad as Prabhakar Rao, for Soheb as Sudhakar Nair, for
Javed as Kishor Naydu, for Nazir Ahmed as Prakash Kumar. Kafa once
again took us to the sea of Karachi. We stayed on the sea for one day.
During that period Hakimsaab taught us to dismantle and assemble and
steer a small speed boat. It was also taught, after showing the sea-
valve, how to drown the boat by removing the valve. He explained to us
the tul and chaurai for knowing at which location in the sea the boat
was positioned. Question - What are tul and chaurai' Reply - The
vertical line on a map is called tut and a horizontal line is called
chaurai. In the 20th day of Roza Zakl-ur-Rebamm Lakhvi came there and
said " the work has been suspended for some time." That time I told
Lakhvi that there was m need to stop. I could nuke my mission
successful as per plan. He should not warry. I had nurse this wish
from many year. He should not create hindrance in it. That time Zeki-
ur-Rehaman Lakhvi started laughing and said, "I know. You are a
committed jihadi from the start however bold far some time." He went
away front there the next day. We stayed in the same house in Ajijabad
for some days. During that period Imran Babar used to make us learn by
rote the names written on the I-cards of us all imran Babar was the
best studied man from among us and that's why he could read and write
English We observed Rsmzan Id in the house at Ajijabad only. During
that time Abu Hanrja gave us the information as to how to plant a bomb
below the seat of a running car and made me, Laved and Nam Ahmed do
the practice of planting a bomb while sitting on the rear seat of a
car. We people were in the house at Ajijabad for abort a month and a
half. On the day 18th November Kafa want away taking with him Nasir
and Naz r Ahmed. On 25th November we were brought to a house near a
creek in a vehicle from Ajijabad. At that place Zaki-ur-Rehaman
Lakhvi, Jarar Shah, Abu Hamja, Kafa, Nasir and Nazir Ahmed were
already present. Zaki-ur-Rehaman Lakhvi had made Ismail Khan as leader
of this mission. There were things in many boxes in that house. Those
boxes were opened in front of us and all those things were handed over
to Ismail. There were asla, explosives and eatables in those things.
Question - What is the meaning of aids? Reply- Asla means weapons. Abu
JJamja had explained to Ismail how to distribute those weapons and
explosives. Ismail noted down those instructions in his diary and took
over all the things. After that Abu Hamja gave Hindutitani rupees to
me and Ismail for keeping After counting that money it was found to be
Rs.10,800/-. We divided them between us In this manner money was
distributed to every baddy. At that time Jarar Shah gave to every body
of us a mobile phone. That lime Ismail asked from which area the
number was. That time lam Shah said, "This number is from Ihndustan We
have misled some persons from Hiodustan and took away the SIM cards of
Isindustan and these SIM cards will start operating after going to
Bombay. That's why you should start using these mobiles after reaching
Bombay " That time I asked him, " On which number we should talk to
you?". Thai time Zaki.ur-Rehaman Iakhvi told us all, "Jarar has
already fed our number in the mobiles. After pressing the green button
on the mobile twice, we will be on phone. You give us the information
about the assignment on that phone" Afterwards he told some number
which he asked Ismail to note in his diary. Ismail wrote thin number
in his diary. Ismail was always keeping that diary with him_ That time
Zaki-ur-Rehaman Lakhvi gave some names of some areas of Bombay such as
Colaba, WTC. Ismail noted those names in his diary. In order that
nobody should have a suspicion when we were talking on the phone, Abu
Hamja had given us some code. Ismail had noted down that code and
about tul and Chaurai in details in his diary. After that Zaki-ur-
Rehman Lakhvi gave a satellite phone to Ismail Khan and went away from
there. Ismail gave a big sac to all of us mujahidins and with that
gave one klashan, 8 magazines for it, 240 rounds, 8 hand grenades, I
bayonet, I pistol, 3 magazines for it, 21 rounds, one water bottle, 1
kg of raisins, one head phone, three 9 volts batteries, charger. After
that he gave 8 kilo of RD.XX bomb which was in a tiffin box to every
one and one GPS system to every badly and one small pouch to everybody
for attaching to the waist We collected all our things and cleaned the
klashan and the pistol. After that we filled 30 rounds in each
magazine of the klashan and 7 rounds in each magazine of the pistol.
In order that it should be easy for us to fire with klashan we stuck
together two-two magazines as per the training and then we filled all
these weapons, remaining things and the new clothes given by Kafa in
the big sac. In the night we kept every body's bomb and the sac of
luggage in a vehicle of Lashkar-e-Toiba. At that time Ismail
instructed us to keep the I-cards of Hindustani names in the pocket.
Accordingly we kept the cards with us. In the night Abu Hamja and Kafa
told Ismail to write the tul and chaurai while going to Bombay, so
that we could easily reach Bombay through the GP.S. At their instance
Ismail wrote down those in his diary in front of me. At 6.00 o'clock
in the morning of 22nd November we got up and did the namaz. After
that we started from Karachi with Kafa and Abu Hamja for a fidayini
attack on Bombay. After walking for 30 minutes we reached a creek.
There Zaki-ur-Rehaman Lakhvi was present. At that time Zaki-ur-Rehaman
Lakhvi told us, "Hon. Hafiz Said and we have taken lot of efforts for
this mission. Their efforts are to come to fruition.We have given you
information of every skill. It should not feel ashamed. This is all
your responsibility." Zaki-ur-Rehaman told us, “you start the mobile
after reaching Bombay. The baddis of Nariman House, Taj Hotel and
Oberoi Hotel will talk with media on mobile telephone. We will tell
you later on what to talk to them." We people will also send e-mail to
the media and challenge the Government of Hindustan. Zaki-ur-Rehaman
Lakhvi entrusted maps to each baddy given by Sabauddin and Faim.
Isamil kept with him the map leading to V.T.S and Malabar Hill. At
that time Lakhvi told us to tear off and throw away all the maps given
after reaching the destination, After that Zaki-ur-Rehaman Lakhvi
prayed for us, "May Allah take care of you. I give you to the
protection of Allah. May Allah extract from you to the maximum extent
what he wishes by heart." At the end Zaki-ur-Rehaman Lakhvi told
Ismail in front of us, "While exiting from the Hindustani boat, remove
its sea valve located under, so that the boat drowns in the sea."
After that Zaki-ur-Rehanan Lakhvi took only Ismail aside and talked
some thing with him. At about 7.00 o'clock one small wooden boat
arrived there to take us. After traveling in that boat for one and a
half hours we were seated in a bigger boat. After that the smaller
boat went away. Hakimsaab and his three colleagues were there on the
bigger boat. At about 9 in the night we were left on a large ship
named Al Hussaini. After that Hakimsaab and his three colleagues went
away in the bigger boat. There were seven persons present on the ship
Al Hussaini. Out of them, names of three persons were Murshad, Akib
and Unman. They all were servants of Lashkar-e-Toiba. Murshad handed
over to us the bag of klashans and bombs filled by us in the house at
Karachi. Murshad handed over to Ismail things like a rubber speed
boat, a pump for filling air in it, life jackets, blankets, rice,
flour, oil, pickles, milk powder for eating during the voyage, match
boxes, detergent powder, tissue paper, bottles of cold Mountain Dew,
dental cream, spray paint, towels, tooth brushes etc. We were on the
Al Hussaini ship only in that night. As court time is over the
confession statement withheld till tomorrow i.e. 21st Febnary,2009.
The accused handed over to PSI Shri Hasnale for sending him to
judicial custody till 21st February, 2009.
The accused Mohd. Azmal Mohd. Amir Kasab is brought before me again on
21/02/2009 at 10.40 am. hrs. the accused at present is in judicial
custody and as such produced from the Arthur Road Jail by I PSI-Shri
Hasnale, 1-HC-14441; I-PC-04187; 2-SIR-050232,050062 a staff from
Local Armed Force.
I have satisfied myself that there is no policeman in the Court's
chamber where the proceedings could be heard or seen, except my typist
Mr. Kadam and my Court's Head Constable Shri Antu A. Chavan who are
not concerned in the investigation, as are necessary to guard the
accused.
On 23rd November at about 12.00 o'clock noon we completed half the
voyage of 6 hours by Al Hussaini boat. Usman showed a broken belt of
engine to the persons in a ship coming from the front side and went
near that ship on the pretext of changing the same. Afterwards that
ship was seized. The name of that Hindustani ship was Kuber. Hakimsaab
abd Usman caught the four persons on that ship and brought them to Al
Hussaini ship. After that they dumped the things from the boat Kuber
(T.V., V.C.R., and some other things) in the boat Al Hussaini. After
that they left us 10 fidayins in the boat Kuber. All our luggage was
dumped in the boat Kuber later on. The boatman of Kuher was entrusted
to us. At that time Hakimsaab asked Ismail to check how mush diesel
was there in the boat Kuber. That time Ismail asked the boatman of the
boat Kubcr regarding diesel. That time the boatman told that there was
700 litres of diesel in the diesel tank. He also said that in addition
there were four drums full of diesel on the boat. That time Ismail
asked the boatman, "Can we go to Bombay in that much diesel?" that
time the boatman said, "Diesel may be insufficient." Listening this
Hakimsaab said to Ismail, "There may be a need of additional diesel"
Saying this Hakimsaab told to unload the iron drums and plastic cans
containing diesel kept on the boat AI Hussaini to the boat Kuber
After that as per plan we started towards Bombay with the help of
G.P.S., tul and Chawat and Amarchand Solanki the boatman of Kuber.
Ismail formed three groups of us. 1) Myself, Ismail Khan and Nasir 2)
Javed, Hafiz Arshad and Nazir Ahmed 3) Fahadulla, Abu Abdul Rehman
(Chhota) and Soheb. Ismail arranged guard duty of two hours each for
the three groups and wrote down in his diary about that by the names
given to us by Hafiz Said from his diary. Accordingly we did guard
duty on the boat Kuber. After some sailing by the boat Kuber we tied
the hands and covered the eyes of Amarchand the boatman and placed him
near the engine. We three groups were keeping an eye on Amarchand the
boatman and saw that no body attacked us. Irnmn Bahar used to prepare
food on the ship for us. Ismail and laved used to sail the boat Kuber.
During this voyage we used to talk with Abu Hamja by satellite
telephone and Ismail was getting information intermittently whether we
people were on the right track or not with G.P.S. On the way we used
to Iced the boatman. During the voyage till arrival at Bombay we got
the diesel fed to the engine of the boat Kuber three times with the
help of the boatman.
On 26th November at 11.00 o'clock in the morning we tied the strings
of redyellow colour given to us by Ismail on our hands as per plan. At
approximately 4.00 o'clock in the evening we reached Bombay. We
started seeing the tall buildings of Bombay. As pa plan I talked with
Abu Hamja by satellite telephone and asked him, "We people have
reached Bombay. What should we do about the boatman?” That time Abu
Hamja laughed and said," Do whatever you want." That time I said to
Ismail, "It will be proper to kill this boatman." That time Ismail
said yes. After that in the engine room I told Soheb and Nasir to hold
the legs of the boatman. I clutched the hair of the boatman and held
his bead below and cut his throat, Afterwards I hid his dead body in
the engine room.
After that Ismail, Javed, Nazir Ahmed started filling air with the
pump in the rubber speed boat and lowered down the boat in the sea
after filling the boat within half an hour_ We donned the new clothes
purchased in the Karachi market- I wore a red coloured T-shirt. I put
blue coloured shirt with cap ova it and wore green coloured cargo
pant. Other persons also donned new clothes purchased in the Karachi
market They wore red coloured life jacket and yellow coloured
waterproof trousers ova it. We left our earlier worn clothes in Kuber.
I left the white coloured salwar and white shirt earlier worn by me at
the same place. After that we all people did our namaz. We took out
the mobile phones given to us out of the bag and switched them on as
per the plan. W e did not get the network while on the sea. We
unloaded all the assault materials in the speed boat When we were
disembarking from the speed boat, during that time we saw one boat
approaching. By looking at it we thought that it was a navy boat.
Seeing that boat we jumped on to the speed boat in a hurry. In that
hurry Ismail forgot to remove the sea valve of the boat Kuber. He also
forgot his satellite phone in the boat Kuber.
We left the boat Kuber at a distance of about 4 nautical miles from
Bombay and started in the speed boat for Bombay. The speed boat was
being driven by Ismail. This speed boat had an engine of Yamaha
company. At that time Nazir Ahmed was showing the way to Bombay with
the help of G.P.S. While on the way Ismail told us that first myself
and Ismail would go towards V T.S. in a taxi. After that Soheb and
Nazir Ahmed would proceed towards Leopold Hotel and after that Javd
and Hafz Arshad towards Taj Hotel in a taxi. Imran Babar and Nasir
would go to Nariman House on foot. Finally Fahadulla and Abdul Rehman
(Chhota) would take the same speed boat and go towards Oberoi Hotel,
It was told that while travelling by the taxi, at that time Soheb,
Javed and myself had to plant a bomb of R.D.X. under the driver's seat
as pet plan and Ismail had told others to plant bombs near the target.
After reaching the shore after a voyage of about one and half hours,
as per plan
Abu Ali jumped from the speed boat and tied the speed boat to the
shore. Out of all myself and Ismail alighted first from the speed
boat. We took our belongings. Myself and Ismail took off the life
jacket and waterproof trousers worn by us and threw them in the sea.
Afterwards after I alighted from the boat and put on shoes, After we
two alighted, others also alighted after us. At that time it was about
9.00 o'clock in (he night We were,
late by about one and a half hours as per plan.
When we got down from the boat two persons met us. They asked who we
were and from where we came. At that time I told them that we were
students. At that place Ismail also had some words with them
Myself and Ismail came on the road taking our luggage with us. We
stopped a taxi on the road. Ismail sat on the front seat and I sat on
the back seat of the taxi. Ismail instructed him to take the taxi to
the V. T. station. Ismail started chatting with the taxi driver.
During that time I attached two 9 volt batteries to the timer in the
bag containing the bomb and planted that bag of the bomb below the
taxi driver's seat. The bomb was adjusted to the time of I hour and 15
minutes.
We reached the V.T.S. by taxi in 15-20 minutes. When we looked inside
the station we saw much less crowd than the crowd that was shown to us
in the C. D. Because of that we both were disappointed. At that time
Ismail tried to talk with Abu Hamja On mobile. However there was no
network in his mobile. That is why he tried to phone by taking my
mobile; however there was no network in that phone either. Ismail kept
my mobile phone also with him. We both came inside in the passage.
There we saw stairs going up. People had come to that place with big
bags. That was how we cam to know that that platform was for trains
going to outside towns. There was a toilet block nearby. I gave my bag
to Ismail and visited the toilet block. After that Ismail went to the
toilet block along with the small bag containing the bomb. Inside he
attached batteries to the bomb as per plan and came out with that bag
containing the bomb.
After coming out, Ismail kept the bag containing the bomb there only
among the bags lying there. After that we signalled each other and
decided to open fire there, I took out the klashan from my bag. Ismail
took out a band grenade from his bag and taking out the its clip threw
it at the people. After that myself and Ismail Started firing at the
people there. After some time Ismail took out one more hand grenade
from his bag and threw it. After that myself and Ismail Cued with
Klashan. As a result of that firing many people died at the station.
People out there started to run helter-skelter out of tenor. The whole
station was empty in a short time. During that time the police had
started firing at us. We both were giving cover fire to each other and
were firing at the police.
In between the police tried to stop us by firing at us We shot them
dead. Then from there we came out of the V.T. station from stairs out
on a bridge. I fired about six magazines at the station.
After getting down the stairs myself and Ismail were looking for a
taxi in the lane to go away from there. But we did not get a taxi. So
we tried to open the cars that were parked in that lane_ But we did
not find any car unlocked- We proceeded ahead in the lane. We did
firing at that place. At the same time there was strong firing from
the police. Seeing that we decided to barge into the building before
us and to go to the terrace and kill the police by firing at them and
by throwing hand grenades. Afterwards we jumped over a small gate we
came inside the building and went up. The police came in that building
after us. We fired at the police and the people and threw hand
grenades. At the same time the police were also firing at us. We shot
the police dead. After that after the
firing from below stopped we came down. We were in that building for
about one hour. Then we cam to know that that building was of a
hospital. Noises of women screaming and small children crying were
coming from the room of that building. That we decided that we would
kill women and children by barging into each room of that hospital For
that purpose we tried to open the doors of the rooms to barge into
each room of the hospital However the door shutters of each room were
closed from the inside and the outer iron doors were also closed,
That's why we could not open those doors. So we got out from there to
reach our last target. After that we climbed down the building and
started walking to the front side of the building and proceeded ahead
by taking the shelter of one wall After going ahead we jumped over the
wall and came on the road.
After that we had just gone ahead by moving along the wall towards
right side when a policeman was seen coming from the front side. I
immediately killed him by aiming with my klashan. At that time there
started filing at us from the front side. We returned the firing and
barged in a lane. At that time one white coloured car with red light
was seen going towards the rear sides I immediately opened fire in its
direction After that the car stopped after moving some distance That's
why Ismail immediately threw a hand grenade which was with him and
opened fire also at the car with a view to pinch the car. I also fired
at the car with the kiashan with me. After that when we approached the
car and started opening the door we found the driver of the car fallen
dead inside and all the window glasses were shut and the doors locked
In spite of that we tried to open the car; but the car could not be
opened.
After that we saw a vehicle with yellow light coming towards us from
the front side. Seeing that vehicle we both stood in the bushes
touching the wall. As soon as that vehicle came near us we fired at
that car. At the same time there was firing from that vehicle also
towards us. In that firing my both hands were hit by bullets. The
firing from the vehicle towards us stopped. After that we peeped
inside the vehicle and saw that alt the people sitting in the vehicle
were dead and all were policemen. We both went to the rear side of the
vehicle and tried to open the rear door, but it did not open. My hand
was paining; therefore I took support and stood, jerking my hands and
Ismail was brash firing towards the road on the rear side of the
vehicle After that Ismail came swiftly near the vehicle and threw out
the dead bodies of the driver and of the one who was sitting behind
the driver and I threw out the dead body of the policeman sitting
beside the driver As the rounds in the klashan of Ismail were
exhausted, he took one klashan of the police from the vehicle. Alfa
that I sat on the seat adjoining the seat of the driver and Ismail sat
for driving the vehicle. Staring the vehicle we speedily came out from
there; at that time Ismail told me that he was hit by a bullet in the
leg and near the armpit.
After some time when we reached a square, police and public were seen
there in
large number. That was why Ismail was speeding the vehicle while
firing at the police and public at that place while driving. After
some time the police vehicle in which we were sitting, the rear right
side tyre of that police car got punctured. Even then Ismail was
driving the vehicle with great speed. After some time Ismail stopped
our vehicle after
seeing at one spot a white coloured vehicle coming from the other side
of the road. I fired' O
in the air with my klashan and we got down from the vehicle. We both
went towards that vehicle. I showed the driver of that vehicle the
klashan and threatened him, "Stop the vehicle" and stood in front of
that vehicle. He driver of that vehicle immediately stopped the
vehicle, At that time Ismail pulled out the driver of the vehicle. At
the same time one person sitting near the driver and a lady sitting on
the rear seat got down. At that time I was providing cover to Ismil.
After that Ismad sat down to drive that vehicle and I hurriedly sat on
his aide in that vehicle and got out from there. Then I asked Ismail,
" Where to gfr. That time Ismail sold me, "We have to go to Melabar
Hill." Then I asked Ismail, "Where at that place?" That time he told
me that he would let me know when we reached that.
After we went a little distance I saw that we were traversing a road
by the side of sea At that time it carne to my mind that it was the
same road which was shown to us in the map by Sabauddin and Faim as
road going towards Meatier Hill. We were going fast towards Malabar
Hill by that road, at that time we saw barricades put up in the road
at some distance and police were seen deployed on all sides of those
barricades. The police saw our spending vehicle from a distance and
they told us to stop by raising their hands and by blowing the
whistles. It was impossible to break through the barricades; that was
why I told Ismail to stop the vehicle at some distance from the
barricades. I told him to keep the head lights on so that the number
of the car could not to be seen and our figure would not be seen by
the police At my instance Ismail stopped the car at some distance from
the barricades and kept the head lights on. The police were shouting
from a distance, "Nakabandi is in progress. Switch off the lights."
During that time I was taking stock of the surroundings when I saw
that the height of the road divider on my right side was quite less
and if you took the car speedily we could jump over it I told that
thing to Ismail. Ismail immediately sprayed water on the glass of the
car and started the wiper and backed the car a little and turned the
car towards the divider with speed. However it could not clear the
divider and got stuck there At the mine time the police advanced
towards us from both sides. We understood the need of the hour and
both of us raised the hands. Even then the police were advancing
towards us. Seeing this Ismail immediately attempted to lift his
ktashan; however the khashan which was kept below could not be
recovered Therefore he lifted the pistol kept on the seat and fired
bullets towards the police At the same time I saw the police advancing
towards me, opened the door and took my kiashan in hand. The firing by
police started The police were trying to snatch the klashan from my
hand. In that scuffle I fell down; even then I pressed the trigger of
the klashan and fired. Those bullets hit the policeman who was holding
a rifle and that policeman dropped dead on the ground. However at the
same time orb" policemen hit me with sticks and snatched the klashan
from my hands and caught me. Meanwhile Ismaii had been wounded in the
police firing and he was caught by the police. After that myself and
Ismail were brought to a hospital in an ambulance At that place in the
hospital I came to know that Ismail had been killed after being hit by
bullets of the police. I told my name and Ismail's name to the police
and the doctor and gave information of our being Pakistanis.
There in the hospital the doctors applied medicines and bandage to my
wounds and admitted me in the hospital. In the hospital the doctors
removed my blood soaked clothes and gave me clothes from the hospital
to put on. The police inquired with me
about my colleaguess and about how we reached Bombay; then I told
police every thing.
