So I've seen a lot of making videos now. A LOT! International bands mostly. I couldn't really find anything interesting or aligned to what we want to do. Except Indus Creed comes close. This one video was awesome, it's by the band 'Stained'. This is not what we want to do. Because this band is heavy, macho, and this video is dark, serious and has a good production value. But just for inspiration : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBO_p3HbQNY

hey guys,

so finally some of my views...

So, the online presence of this band (being a nine year old band) is pathetic, and something needs to be done with it ASAP.
I mean, I wasn't even a teenager when this band started playing music, and now it has been a generation leap, still these guys don't have 20,000 Facebook followers, that means there is something drastically wrong.

First of all, the website is so vague and unorganized, that I wasn't feeling like going through it, though I had to, the content is nice, but it is not organised properly, I would like to suggest a few ideas that can be used to enhance the experience of a person who views their website for the first time.

The website should have a proper homepage, with its band members visible on it, as in the attached pic "STR_Studio", in a more classy style, we can do it as a part of the photo shoot, and when you take the cursor on a particular member and click on it, there is a blackout in the rest of the studio, and a spotlight only on the respective band member along with some info about him, and the top menu would contain the links to the other webpages.

One more confusion, what is the logo or logotype of the brand, there is no uniformity in it, it has a different logo on the website, different on the Facebook page, and a different logo on the newsletter subscription page on the website.

A lot needs to be done for the creative part, they need to have a brand color, and a logo which should be uniform throughout, to make the things more organised and maintain the focus of the entire communication process. SO that people are able to identify the band more precisely and for a better "recall" value....

Some video Ideas:

So basically we have apart from the studio based video, we have 3 songs which need video ideas. Preferably socially relevant.

They talked about this underground place where they would like to shoot a video. So I was thinking, let's have them playing at a bunch of not well known places in Mumbai. Places which don't come under the well known heritage sites. As they want to be known as a band for Mumbai, this could be a sort of a mumbai darshan of non popular, but equally good places. And make the video in such a way that it looks like they're walking to the places in continuation. This man made a  video like that.  I can't find it though. It has him playing in different cities, but it looked like he's walking through them in continuation. Does anyone remember that?

Also,

Which was the song in which they wanted multiple musicians making guest appearances?

For that, lets have a flash mob sort of thing, but only, classier.

So in the video, guest musicians (individually for their parts), can suddenly start playing at public places. Or maybe something like the californication video.

Plus we should go ahead with kartikeya's Do Something Relevant campaign!

Something like this! So for instance, if a shot ends with a grassy lane, the next shot should begin with a grassy lane of some other place. So it looks like they're walking in continuation.
