na i'm busy in the evening, thought we could get it out of the way first thing before work :)

actually I am busy in the afternoon, going for a tour of media city, should be back by 6:30 though.

Whats the best way to get our wifi to reach the conference room, don't really want to leave my laptop in the corridor, need some kind of router, may need to borrow a projector again too.

I have a spare access point I could bring as a repeater? Just a
Linksys 54G thing, would that do?

does it have two wifi adaptors or does it need cabling? we could probably run a length of cable down the hall

Cable, or it can bind to your routers MAC address and just repeat
everything it see's. The MAC binding sometimes doesn't work, so a
cable may be better

we've got a wifi/adsl router spare so should be able to wire that up, just need a good length of cable really, got about 5 metres here, that may actually be enough since the current signal just about reaches to the door of the room anyway.

Call me skeptical but I reckon a multi router wifi set up will take hours to set up. Best bet will be a long wire I reckon.

It's looking like a particularly low turn out this week, and we don't
have a talk, so unless people really want to go ahead perhaps we should
call this one off and regroup for next month. We're now fully fledged
INETA members, so I'll try and arrange a speaker.
