So the next event is tomorrow, we've not arranged any topics and hardly
anyone has said they're coming on upcoming.

Suggestion: Does anyone want to help me try and get some software up and
running for the multitouch screen I've just built? I'm doing it in WPF,
planning on taking it down to barcamp next week :)

Originally it was second to last thursday, otherwise we clash with vbug manchester. Then it sort of slipped back a week, so I brought it forward again.

It's looking like this months going to be a flop too. Maybe we've just not got the critical mass to make it work.

Hmm,

I don't think it is that bad, I honestly think that we have a good ideal locally whilst there might not be a lot of content at the moment; we have a smart domain name and we can pool our resources and make a great website that will complement our user group with great content. Such as publishing our meetings, maybe even recording them and putting them on youtube. Generally publishing a schedule to the list will help, not just relying on upcomming.

As long as there is a clear plan then I honestly think this will succeed. If not and we want out generally I will buy the domain name off you so that I can use it... seriously! I work maybe 4 hours after normal work and it is a great domain that I could use (for my own needs and ideas).  I am happy to put in time if this is a "community" effort for this group if that is what we want generally.

I wasn't suggesting we just bin the whole thing. Maybe just put the meetings on hold for a bit, focus on growing the list/community online then kick start some new meetings, maybe in the new year.

Perhaps we can start thinking about this stuff tonight - look at what
we are hoping to do, and do some planning, a bit like we did back when
we first kicked this stuff off - I think we are older and wiser now on
organising this stuff and we can probably make a better stab at it now
