liverpie fails to start in CentOS 7

team I am getting the following error:

# bin/liverpie -h

/usr/local/share/ruby/site_ruby/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:59:in `require': cannot load such file -- lib/script_base (LoadError)

from /usr/local/share/ruby/site_ruby/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:59:in `require'

from bin/liverpie:4:in `<main>'

Any ideas?

Hi Mark,

Which version of ruby do you have locally (check using ruby -v), and is there a lib/script_base.rb in the directory where you ran that command?

ruby 2.0.0p648 (2015-12-16) [x86_64-linux]

 

Also the script_base.rb is also located:

# ls liverpie/lib

liverpie_client.rb  liverpie_server.rb  script_base.rb

ruby 2.0.0p648 (2015-12-16) [x86_64-linux]

 

Also the script_base.rb is also located:

# ls liverpie/lib

liverpie_client.rb  liverpie_server.rb  script_base.rb

Hi Mark,

Please download or git pull the latest version of Liverpie.

I’ve made some changes to it. Get it from https://github.com/alxx/Liverpie

It hadn’t been touched for nine years :)

The new version has a Gemfile, so after you download it, run ‘bundle install’. Then the script should work. Let me know if you still have problems.

I hate to bother with this but I still get errors even with the new version:

        from /usr/local/share/ruby/site_ruby/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:59:in `require'

        from ./liverpie:5:in `<main>'

Am I missing something?
