A problem with Cyrillic characters

Hello,
it seems like LivePress doesn't work with Unicode. When I'm trying to
submit an entry containing Cyrillic or other special characters (for
example, å, ö or ü), the plugin simply drops these characters when
crossposting to LJ. And when I'm using such characters in tags or
"current music" field, I see only garbage (something like "музыкР
°") after crossposting. What's wrong?
