Hello,

First off, I'm VERY happy to see this plugin. I have been blogging on
LJ for quite some time and am attempting to move over to my long-
neglected WP blog. Once the plugin works for me, I'm sure that I will
have several feature requests/suggestions to help me ease over my
content and friends to 100% WP.

Anyway to my problem/question. I uploaded the plugin, activated it,
and went to go set the options. It asked me to click on the link to
install the plugin. I clicked the link and was dumped out to the wp-
login.php screen. Repeatedly doing this has the same effect.

This is most likely an issue resulting from something that is wrong
within the Wordpress core. I run my WP install from
http://myuniversitysdomain.edu/~myusername/. That tilde character has
been giving me and others problems since about WP version 2.5. It's
slated to be addressed/fixed in 2.7 (although it was pushed back from
2.5.1 and 2.6 to 2.7). A few other areas of my admin control panel
have the same result (going to the wp-login screen). Searching
through the Wordpress Support forums, other people experience the same
problem.

With the knowledge that this *should* be fixed in the core with the
November release, is there an easy way that I can bypass or manually
do the installation procedure?

Douglas, would you mind putting phpinfo.php file into the same
directory as your blog? this will help to troubleshoot.

phpinfo.php contents

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

thanks!

Any thoughts on what might be going on? If you'd like to see the
problem in action, send me an email or catch me on google chat and i
can see about setting up a test account for you.
