livepipe documentation

I am new to javascript and have been building web applications using
visual studio 2010. Is there a link or documentation on how to utilize
these controls. I pasted the html, javascript and css code for a
selectmultiple control into my xml markup for a form page and I get an
error - control is not defined.
I see the control created on the page but it will not work when I
select it.

any ideas please
