How do I create bullet points in a text field?

Hi everyone, 

Does anyone know how to create bullet points in a text field? I saw some discussion on the Adobe Community:

However, these seem to not work. There was one that did work, but when previewing the form, I had to click on the text field, press enter so there was a line of space before the bullets showed up. Then I went to copied the script to another text field and it didn't work. 

Please let me know if you know of any script that may do this trick. I would appreciate it greatly!
