I have used js code app.hideMenuItem() to hide the save buttons.

This works when I open the pdf file in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat but when I open the same pdf file using Internet Explorer the save button again comes up. Any comments on this behaviour??

Also how would I disable the save button if I upload my pdf to web server.

Thanks.

Nav, google shows some good stuff here: http://blogs.adobe.com/dmcmahon/2009/11/11/adobe-reader-how-to-disable-toolbar-buttons-and-menu-items/

Basically what you want to do is not really possible. If the user knows the keystrokes they can still access the commands even if you hide the menu item. Plus, if you accessed the PDF in your browser, it is always saved somewhere temporarily, so you can find it there. If a user can access your PDF you can't do much to stop them from saving it. If you really really really want to restrict access, you can look into Digital Rights Management, but it comes with a hefty price tag.

Is there a specific Use Case you were trying to achieve?
