hi all, i was wondering if anyone could direct me on how to assign
multiple users to a task in workbench so that they would be working on
it in parallel? The reason being is that I want to have it so that if
one person submits, it removes the task from all the users' task list.
Currently I have a process that have multiple users working on
something in parallel (using a gateway) and then merge the data at the
end, but i need to end the other tasks if one of those users submit
the form.

Any help is appreciated

Hi,

You can use SPLIT action in the workflow designer and provide multiple branches to it and after the split you can use a setvalue qpac to merge data from all the branches of the split.

Refer to this article for more details

Have you tried defining a group in the server admin and assigning the task to the group? I am not sure if this is allowed but it occured as a potential solution

sry, was away for a bit and didn't see if there were any updates to
the forum.

I've basically created a custome component to end the process using
the completeTask() function. The problem i'm having is testing the
multiple assignment to a dynamic number of users in parrallel. Right
now i have a gateway with the no-wait option that loops back to itself
for however many users is needed. The problem i'm having is that the
first time i run this process, it works fine in assigning the tasks.
But apparently the next time i try to start the process it doesn't
even start (theres no listing for it under process search). I tried
looking at the log but i can't seem to dicipher anything that may
point to the issue. What i was wondering is does this seem like the
right path i should take, or is there a better option rather than
having a gateway loop back to itself?

I did bring up the group option, but groups do not allow users to work
in parallel, which is what i need.

What I'm working on now is merging the data (fields filled in) of
those reviewers back into the form. Anyone have any thoughts on how to
do that?
