Good afternoon community. So I am sharing a sample PDF to demonstrate an issue myself and others have had over the years. I shared it to another forum as well, but was told it was wrong and was questioned on "what I wanted to accomplish".
And yes there are reasons to need a form to be static sometimes. I made one which I open and it gives me all fields to fill out and then it attaches itself to an email after it is locked down and made read only - except for a few fields for the carrier to fill out. (locking nodes and making it read only and further making it apply to specific fields doesn't work in dynamic files) - this file is also protected by password opening in LiveCycle so it protects their email addresses and my other business information.
Anyways, the recipient gets it in their email, opens it and has only limited fields available to fill in, my other fields and dropdowns are secured so they cant alter the rate or find out what other carriers I use so on... then they email it back to me and I can see their pickup numbers and signature that they accepted it.
I can share that form another time but I would have to strip all the business information is out. it is like a email workflow PDF I use for confirming carriers to pick up freight and deliver it (before a BOL)
Have a great day!
