Hi All,

After my self congratulations, it's all gone wrong. I have a timer on a form that times an exam, I have just found out the clock still ticks so when they are opened the following day, the clock has been quietly ticking away.

How do I stop the clock ticking?

Thanks in advance

Can you state the problem more clearly?

You should have a start time that is only set once. If the field has a value then don't set a new value. Same with the end time.

Is the user allowed to use the form in multiple sessions? If so, then you have to keep track of elapsed time as a separate value and deduct from it the amount of time each session has taken. Does this make sense? I may not have your requirements correct. Maybe you should state your full requirements.

Hi Fred,

Apologies for the delay in replying. I did manage to solve it in the end, but as always, your input is valuable as it opens up new ways of looking at the issues.

Kind regards

Ed
