I have been assigned Adobe Livecycle technology and am not aware of
this.Could anyone tell me where can I learn Adobe Livecycle from.I
have no problem in learning how to design pdf forms in Livecycle but
what I am looking for is to learn Acrobat Javascript and XML that will
be used in developing forms here.

JavaScript for Acrobat API Reference, Version 8 ,9 : These links are
not very useful for me as novice prog and am just startting to learn
and more API is bit difficult to understand as well.

SO I would request all you guys to kindly provide me some links from
where I can learn this technology from scratch.

Regards,
Nav.

By far the most useful page is here:

http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/documentation.html#task=0,1,2,3,4,5,6&module=-1

This has all the code samples, documentation, quickstarts and more all linked from this one page (too bad the URL really sucks).

Some of my favorites as a Java dev:

There are over 5000 pages of content to sift through.

As for scripting PDF forms, try playing around with Action Builder in designer.  It is a good way to learn.

I will also be posting a course online soon.

The book that got me started is Creating Dynamic Forms with Adobe
LiveCycle Designer by J.P. Terry. It's excellent.

Hi Vav,

The best place right now to learn LiveCycle today is the "LiveCycle in
3 Days" site here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/videotraining.html.
Following the complete series should get you up to speed on most of
the modules.

Also, every month I host a two-part series on getting starting with
LiveCycle which you can sign up for here:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/event/index.cfm?event=detail&id=1677958&loc=en_us.
I usually go through basic form design including subforms and some of
the more complex things you'll need to use to develop complex forms.

Lastly, nothing beats formal classroom training :)
