Created PDF in LiveCycle. Opened it in Acrobat Pro, saved as reader extend file. Send to user who opens in Reader, enters some data, saves the form to work on later. When he opens the form later he gets the error:
This document enabled extended features in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. The document has been changed since is was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document."

This form needs to be saved by a user and re-opened again later for further data entry. Eventually the form is saved and forwarded to another user, for more entry, saving, and sending along to another user. It could go through five users for entry in different sections of the form before it's ready to submit. Some users have DC, some have Pro, etc.

How can I avoid this error?

I can see by a quick Google search that this happens a lot. So far I've tried removing the data binding from all objects in the form, saving it as Reader Extend, and asking the user to test that file. I haven't heard back yet if that worked.

Hi Amy

I encountered this problem a while ago and if memory serves me, it had something to to with the date settings, ether in the form or windows. When the form was created after the current date.

Dig around there and you will sort it out.

Removing the data bindings from each object worked.

Hoping this bumps this question back to the top --

Removing data bindings from all fields seemed to work. However, after some other changes to the form were made, and I resaved as a Reader Extended file with a new name, the error has reappeared. I've checked the form, and there are no data bindings on any field.

The date/time thing is not an issue -- all PCs are on the same network. I cannot demand that everyone upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Suggestions, PLEASE?
