Hi All,

I was trying to install AEM Workbench 6.1 on my local machine, i already have AEM 6.1 running on my local JBoss. But i see "Cannot Create Java Virtual Machine" error prompt and then installation wizard exits.

I tried tweaking the Java memory arguments up to 1024 still no luck. Can someone please guide me and help me complete this installation.

Thanks,
Abhishek

Abhishek,

Have you setup the environment variables for Java_Home?

AEM forms on JEE supports only 64-bit operating systems for production and development environments (https://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6-1/AEM-forms-JEE-supported-platforms.html) so your JAVA_HOME must use a 64-bit runtime.

JAVA_HOME should be set to the base of the 64-bit runtime (e.g. C:\Adobe\Adobe_Experience_Manager_forms\Java\jdk1.7.0_25)

My personal dev install has JAVA_HOME set to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_79 and it works fine.

Did you copy the install folder to the local computer and unzip it?

Thanks Aditya, i was able to resolve the issue by adding

set _JAVA_OPTIONS=-Xmx512M in the run_windows_installer.bat file and then re-install it. Though i did the same through environmental variables it never worked.

Thanks,
Abhishek
