Good day!

I am currently doing a form which consists of multiple signature fields (7 signature fields, actually),to be signed by our Higher ups.. Is it possible for a person to sign more than one field in the form at once? I have added checkboxes corresponding to each signature fields. When the user checks more than one checkboxes to sign,  it will automatically sign the signature fields  at once and ask the user to save the document. I am new to Livecycle and I really don't know what to do.. :(

I am trying to duplicate the signature of one field to the other, but I failed to get the correct output. :(
Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks!
Hydie

Hi Hydie,

It certainly is possible to have multiple signature fields on a form. You can assign each signature to manage different collections within the form as well, so once a person signs, it will lock a particular area of the form. You can even have the last signature apply to the whole form so the last person to sign locks the form entirely. So if you have multiple signature make sure you set which area (if at all) the signature affects.

You wont be able to copy one signature to another as this information is protected against manipulation within the PDF (for obvious reasons).

A single person can sign in multiple fields, but they will have to save the PDF each time they sign.

The PDF will also need to be reader extended for this to work.

Cheers
Darren

Hi Darren,

Thank you for your quick response. I appreciate it.. So I guess there's nothing I can do about the linking of signatures to other signature fields.. I'll just lock some fielda when the document is signed. Thank you so much again.

Hydie,

Not sure what you mean by "linking of signatures to other fields".  Do you mean when a signature has been entered it changes the property of another field (enables it etc.)?

Hi DCS_JEFF!

Nope, what I mean is ( please see image below), for example if the user intends to sign the Requester signature, Contractor signature and Government Approval signature Fields, the user has to check the boxes corresponding to the fields (Requester Signature, Contractor signature and Government Approval signature Fields) and only one field is needed to enter the user's signature. It will automatically populate  the other fields that was checked with the user's signature..So the user has to save the document only once. It really gives the user a hard time when he/she saves the document every time he/she signs it esp. if there are 3 fields that he/she needs to sign. (that's the complain I've received :'[ )

Thanks for the response.

- Hydie :)
