AEM Forms using Salesforce data

Does anyone use AEM with their Salesforce Environment?
We are moving to a Salesforce application and wonder what others' experiences are with this?
The 2 cent version of our current state is... we pull data from a postgres DB Datasource (using SQL that converts to XML) , pass XML to a template, then returning it back to the user.
How easy/hard is it to use data coming from Salesforce? Does data still need to be converted to XML? Can we use our current templates in any way or will things need to be changed ?
Any feedback and/or comments is greatly appreciated!
