creating boot media

Hello all,

If any body help me to create only  boot media of rhel5 cd.

Arvind,

You can find the bootable media (cd or disk image) from your CD's
images directory named as boot.iso and diskboot.img which can be used
to make CD and disk/pen/usb drive bootable respectively.

i have burn the boot.iso in cd and booted but system is not booting.

how did you burn the disk?. it should be written as image not as data. you must be able to boot however it would require remaining contents of CD from network location or from some local location. Can you please post here what error you are getting while booting the system.

hello Rajveer,

I have burn iso image of boot.iso and booting from cd it is not booting from cd. I think if this is the method then there is problem in cdrom. Thanks for your input.
