2. What we need

- I need a confirmation from people who are taking point at each location. The addition of these locations was done a few weeks ago, based on quick conversations so I want to make sure we're still ok on each. Its not a problem if we have to remove locations and consolidate. Please respond to this email if you are taking point (or want to) at a particular location:
- Panera Bread, Rockville Centre (me unless someone else would like to)
- Panera Bread, Farmingdale
- Panera Bread, Hauppauge
- Panera Bread, Riverhead
- Panera Bread, Bridgehampton
- We may need some help tweeting from the @LITweetup account. If you're interested, let me know and I'll get in touch if we do need the help
- If you know of any school / church / synagogue / business / organization that may want to help out, let me know. I'll give you some of the ideas the team came up with during our planning sessions.

- WordHampton is on point and has the press release is almost ready to go out, if you haven't seen it go here: http://groups.google.com/group/litweetup/browse_thread/thread/286aaa12198057c5
- I'll be in touch with Panera tomorrow to confirm whether they can take our collection and add it to theirs (reducing the work for the people at the site) or if we'll need to make arrangements with Island Harvest
- By tomorrow we'll have one website to point people to www.liteetuphelps.com, for information and to sign up for the events. It's under construction now at http://litweetup.com/helps
- We have 2 people (I think, could be more) who have offered to help get the Facebook page and events set up properly. Thanks Lee Bogner and Meg Heckman.

Jeff and Lu - In our last convo I mentioned that my son's student council may be interested in making signs. As it turns out, they're only having one one meeting until after the holidays so they won't be able to help.
When it comes to the Twitter accounts, it looks like we've just become RT machines and people aren't even clicking our links. Or, people feel like they've "done their part" by just RTing. I'll try to engage locals a bit more... Asking if they're coming, thanking in advance for any donations they may have to offer, tweeting tidbits of info to specific people if it applies, etc.. My most important push is going to be promoting it as a tweetup that we just also happen to be taking food donations at. "Let's have Coffee O'Clock together and collect food for Island Harvest. Join me for a bottomless cup (free refills!) and chat in more than 140."
Lu made a good point about doubling up. Hootsuite is the perfect cure for that. Maybe we shouldn't tweet anything at all in real time... Schedule everything so that everyone sees what's planned? Hootsuite will also show if a specific question was already answered or we can "assign" a tweet or question to someone else in the know.
If someone could please send me a new Hootsuite invite I'd appreciate it. I'm not connected anymore.
My time is extremely limited right now but I'll help where I can. If I'm missing something, don't be afraid to nudge me!
