Ok folks, this is it. This is the week where we start to promote the heck out LITweetup Helps 2010!!
This email has only 2 things in it, please read it and respond; 1. where we are and 2. what we need. Thanks!

2. What we need

I need a confirmation from people who are taking point at each location. The addition of these locations was done a few weeks ago, based on quick conversations so I want to make sure we're still ok on each. Its not a problem if we have to remove locations and consolidate. Please respond to this email if you are taking point (or want to) at a particular location:

Panera Bread, Rockville Centre (me unless someone else would like to)
Panera Bread, Farmingdale
Panera Bread, Hauppauge
Panera Bread, Riverhead
Panera Bread, Bridgehampton

We may need some help tweeting from the @LITweetup account. If you're interested, let me know and I'll get in touch if we do need the help
If you know of any school / church / synagogue / business / organization that may want to help out, let me know. I'll give you some of the ideas the team came up with during our planning sessions.

1. Where we are

WordHampton is on point and has the press release is almost ready to go out, if you haven't seen it go here: http://groups.google.com/group/litweetup/browse_thread/thread/286aaa12198057c5
I'll be in touch with Panera tomorrow to confirm whether they can take our collection and add it to theirs (reducing the work for the people at the site) or if we'll need to make arrangements with Island Harvest
By tomorrow we'll have one website to point people to www.liteetuphelps.com, for information and to sign up for the events. It's under construction now at http://litweetup.com/helps
We have 2 people (I think, could be more) who have offered to help get the Facebook page and events set up properly. Thanks Lee Bogner and Meg Heckman.

I would probably attend at Riverhead but if it is eliminated, I would
go to Hauppauge. I don't think I can be point person for Riverhead
because it is still a little bit of a drive and I have two young
ones... but if you do find a point person, I'd be happy to assist with
lead-up work.

Thanks Candace, I'd be happy to add it back in if we can find a point person. If you can think of someone on the North Fork that would want to take point there or someone that maybe could share the duty with you, reach out to them. Or let me know and we can reach out together.
