Melodywas born on November 4, 1951, in Pensacola, FL to Vera E. and William E. Youngstrom. A graduate of Escambia High School, she worked with The Department of Children Services and in the law office of M. J. Menge. To know Melody was to love her and to be loved by her. She lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew her. Family and friendships were her valued treasures, along with her dog Jip. Melody loved a good melody, both listening to and singing her favorite songs. She spent many hours crafting: ceramics, soap making, and jewelry making.

The Village of Key Biscayne is partnering with Mind & Melody, Inc. to offer interactive music classes for individuals of all ages and support needs. The class will review the fundamentals of music through movement and dance, rhythm, unique instrument demonstrations, and sing-alongs, as well as encourage everyone to join together to create music as a team. Through music we will learn to work together, work towards building confidence, and gain new friendships along the way.
