Problems with cancelling downloads

I am running LittleShoot on a mac and at times a download will look
like it starts, but then nothing happens, and cannot be cancelled
because it doesn´t get to the point where the box with the "x" shows
up. I have tried to delete, etc but it remains on my page. On the
other hand, I also have the experience of a download starting but the
rate is too low, so I try to cancel it (this time the box is there)
and it continues downloading. I try to pause it, and the same,
continues downloading.

Sounds like there are a couple of edge cases we're not handling
properly with the download initialization.

I just added this issue to our task list for LittleShoot 1.0, and
we'll do our best to knock these out. If you like, you can track or
