I have never obtained a good sound download speed using L.S.
Is there a secret ? If so, … ?

Hi Marc- Do other p2p apps tend to give you faster downloads? P2P can
sometimes have trouble competing with *unthrottled* centralized apps
like iTunes and such simply because the upstream capacity of peers can
be so much lower. You should see faster speeds with 0.9991, however,
which you can get directly here:

http://cloudfront.littleshoot.org/LittleShoot-09991.exe (win)
http://cloudfront.littleshoot.org/LittleShoot-09991.dmg (osx)

We're also rolling out the LittleShoot P2P platform itself with 1.0,
which will give the best of both worlds -- unthrottled centralized
bandwidth augmented with bandwidth from peers. Most of the internal
tech is done, but it's still a few months away.

All the Best,

-Adam

For several years I used KDX [Server/Client] and had up/down traffic that was excellent.
File transfers / chats were fully encrypted.
Completely cross-platform as well.
Sadly, KDX was orphaned several years ago.

P2P 1.0 EXCITES me no end.
I kid you not.

Cross-platform KDX Server / Client was orphaned a few years ago.
BUT the speeds [up/down] were fine; with file transfers and chats encrypted!

I am excited about the prospect of v. 1.0 being imminent.

Ah, KDX.  I was a user of Adam Hinkley's software (hotline and haxial stuff).
Always enjoyed the KDX community.

Hey Guys- Sorry got tied up -- down in New Zealand working with one of
the first companies that'll be using the LittleShoot core as the P2P
engine in their own app.

One of the cool things with 1.0 is going to be UDT integration -- just
super fast reliable UDP that kills TCP in most scenarios.

Glad you're excited for it -- me too!!

Thanks guys.

-Adam
