chef-solo execution path

How does littlechef determine chef-solo's execution path?  Is this depending on PATH environment variable?  In a case that an environment is managed by RVM (ruby version management), the path toward the chef executable are changed.  As a result, littlechef is unable to find the right chef-solo to execute.  Is there a way to let littlechef to know where the actual executable is?

yeah, littlechef just executes the command "chef-solo", so whatever it is to be found system-wide will be executed
