Guns and Murder
"The Hit" was still feeling sick while he built the drill and
description arrays. "The Hit" has never had an STD, but he thinks he
has one now. He has not been with a woman since Barb, yet "The Hit"
is feeling progressively worse on October 18 TH 1997. It has been
about 4 months since meeting with the Interior Health Nurse in Winlaw
after the wedding. "The Hit" decided to get tested for STD 's once
again at the New Westminster Medical Clinic. He was tested at the New
Westminster Medical Clinic after the wedding in July of 1997 in near
the New Westminster Skytrain Station. "The Hit" had fallen behind on
his Medical Service Plan payments, so he phoned
their Service BC Centre to find out if his coverage would work. He
had lost his card, and they gave him his number over the phone so he
could get the tests. "The Hit" phoned the New Westminster Medical
Clinic to schedule an appointment on October 21 St.

The Doctor finished his advice with a question, "Do you have any
questions?" "The Hit" asked if there was any doubt? The Doctor said
"No". "The Hit's" Provincial Medical records would hold the timing of
his diagnosis. The medical records with the province of British
Columbia would hold the pin which connects the wedding in Winlaw to
Jimmy The Junkie and the Mysterious Financier. Jimmy The Junkie was
working for the Mysterious Financier in the spring of 1997, and the
Nelson and Kelowna Clubs who had a lot of respect for Teresa's family
would eventually know what really occurred. "The Hit" walked out of
the examining area to the front desk, and he was handed a further
testing paperwork by the front desk attendant. He walked through the
waiting room which seemed to be quite jovial once again, and he was
quite sure he recognized the young blond man from Blackie Street in
New Westminster. Given what the young blond haired man had said on
the street, "The Hit" knew the Mysterious Financier not only knew the
results. The Mysterious Financier had hired Jimmy The Junkie to give
"The Hit" Hepatitis C on purpose.

Murder The Hit
He thought about what had happened since the wedding in Winlaw, while
the television computer ran a rerun of the X Files. He was naive in
1994 when he left Jimmy The Junkie and Jeff use his Hyundai. He
should have known better! He was angry when Envirotech went under due
to the import tariffs, but he should have known better than let Jimmy
The Junkie back into their lives on Manitoba Street in April of 1996.
He had only smoked pot most of his life, and he trusted Jimmy The
Junkie one time. He should have known better. Finally, in the spring
of 1996 he made the right decision. He told Jimmy The Junkie that he
did not want anything to do with him. It was already to late. He was
infected. It only takes one mistake in life. He kicked Jimmy The
Junkie out in the spring of 1996, but Jimmy The Junkie had already
done his damage. Jimmy The Junkie would do more damage with his
little notebook and the Canada Post Mailboxes in the Tippers
Apartments. He thought about Jimmy The Junkie talking about Little
Mike having Hepatitis C. Jimmy The Junkie laughed at Little Mike's
infection. Finally, Jimmy The Junkie said "You don't want to mess
with the Hell's Angels", and then Jimmy The Junkie laughs, again!
Now, Jimmy The Junkie had followed him here from Granville Street in
Vancouver, and he had someone financing him. Who was the Mysterious
Financier? "The Hit" was satisfied that he had gotten the letter to
the Piccadilly Pub into the mailbox, and maybe Jimmy The Junkie and
Little Mike would get some medicine of their own, soon. The X Files
episode based in greater Vancouver finished, and "The Hit" felt like
he was finished as he went to bed.

Jimmy The Junkie, his Crew, and the Mysterious Financier weren't going
to get us again! "The Hit" was not sure who was in the Black Van that
night. However, "The Hit" was starting to enjoy the fight Jimmy The
Junkie style. The Black Van could have been filled with Jimmy The
Junkie, Little Mike, Jeff, and an unknown voice "The Hit" put with the
Mysterious Financier. He did not know who was in the Black Van that
night, but whoever was in there saw what happened that dark cold windy
night in October 1997. "The Hit" knew Jimmy The Junkie and his Crew
would normally last 4 - 6 months on the street. They were high
overhead. They needed cash daily, and they feed at the food lines
regularly. What they made went into drugs. That's just the way it is
in the downtown east side of Vancouver. The drugs help kill the pain
of a short hard life. "The Hit" hoped the note would get Jimmy The
Junkie, his Crew, and the Mysterious Financier off him. He hoped this
would get them out of the picture, and life would go back to normal
quickly. This just might keep their disease off everyone!

Over the next few days in November, "The Hit" mused that "The Note"
was never going to be delivered by Canada Post. He hoped that this
would be enough to at least brush off Jimmy The Junkie, his Crew, and
the Mysterious Financier. "The Hit" decided to quit, and he would
wait and see what happened. He knew that Canada Post never delivered
the note to Crime Stoppers, and he thought this might work to brush
them off. He prepared for his trip to Philadelphia on Friday, and he
prepared his server to serve up the upcoming demonstration from
Independent Auto Glass in Pennsylvania. He had left footprints
encased in concrete to confirm the call to Crime Stoppers, and Canada
Post repairs would confirm that Jimmy The Junkie, his Crew, and the
Mysterious Financier stole "The Note". There never was a phone
report, and "The Note" never arrived! Finally, there would be no more
phone records to Crime Stoppers after the Canada Post mailbox pointed
towards the Northwest Territories. "The Hit" just quit. "The Hit"
packed for his trip Thursday November 5 TH to be ready the next
morning for his first meeting with auto glass industry participants.

In Burnaby, "The Hit" stepped into the Corner Store, before he walked
down the isle along the window to see what was going on with Mike at
the Drop in Centre across the street. He expected the glare of the
glass to hide his staring interest, and he watched Mike's gestures
showing the table that this was the man they were interested putting
down. The Mike from Kinghaven, The Lamplighter, and Safeway on
Hastings Street. "The Hit" grabbed a bag of chips, and he walked out
of the store. He did not look at the table with Mike across the
street. He ignored them, as he turned east to walk along Hastings
Street. Then, he checked them out from the corner of his eye as he
walked on Hastings Street. They would not see the movement of his
eyes at this distance and angle, as he watched them focus on his
movement down the street away from them. "The Hit" knew Mike was
trapped, but did they know they were being trapped? "The Hit" doubted
they had any idea what was really going on that day? Did the boys
there knew what was happening to them? "The Hit" knew his move
downtown was his best chance to straighten this all out!

In November at Saskatoon in 1980 Donny Ethier had taken one of the
rooms in the house trailer. "The Hit" met his brothers Lloyd and
Ron. He had also met his sister Ellie and her friend Darla. Toby had
wandered out of the picture, and Penny's friends Wayne Seroka, Frog,
Kevin, and their gang wandered into the picture, "The Hit" had kept
to himself during Harvey's Run, and it might be said he kept to
himself to much. He was partying way to much, as the pendulum swung
to the other side. The parties were also getting out of hand, and
several time the neighbour called the police. Wayne and his gang were
more interested in starting fights than anything else. Yet, "The Hit"
also met Cindy and Kathy whom he liked. Penny had invited a diverse
group of people to the parties, and "The Hit" got to know a few of
them as the dust settled after the parties. The University of
Saskatchewan was seeing less and less of "The Hit" as he had fallen
behind in September and October, and how he just did not think he
could catch up!

"The Hit" returned Calvin's call from his voice mailbox, as Calvin
knew "The Hit" when they were young. Calvin was about 15 years older
than "The Hit" in St. Brieux. Calvin was Robert;'s son on his mothers
side of the family. Calvin went on in the voicemail to say that it
was important for "The Hit" to call his brother Leo in St. Brieux
Saskatchewan. Ironically, they had never spoken voice to voice.
Without the voice mail, "The Hit" would have missed Calvin's call.
Now, he was easily found with his name in the Telus directory. That's
how Calvin must would have located him, but why would Calvin be
calling as they had not met in 15 years? "The Hit" decided to
returned Calvin's call to discover that the phone number was for the
RCMP detachment in Abbotsford was his cousin. After all, Calvin had
joined the RCMP after high school in St. Brieux about 25 years ago
when "The Hit" was still a child in St. Brieux Saskatchewan. "The
Hit's" call was transferred by the front desk in the detachment to
Calvin's office. The line rang a couple of times, before Calvin's
voicemail picked up for him. "The Hit" was asked to leave a message.

The end of November 1980 started to see "The Hit" tiring of the fast
lane. In one of the quiet moments in the afternoon, "The Hit" had a
conversation with Penny. He just asked her what she was doing. "The
Hit" was starting to think that life was not just a party, and he
asked her just where she thought she was going. He knew she was
living the fast lane to hard, and he just point blank asked her who
she was? Where do you come from? What does your family think? He
got answers that day. Her name was Barb Miner from Nelson BC. "The
Hit" asked the obvious question. Were you related to Billy Miner the
train robber. She said no. "The Hit" enjoyed their talk, and he
believed her. While, they never had sex. While, they did socialize.
While, they partied to much. They were starting to move apart in
their own ways for their own reasons. Life is a remarkable series of
twists at times. Sometimes, one wonders if life is linear at all?
"The Hit" was putting an end to the parties. Meanwhile on Commercial
Drive Paul was getting a disability / pension check at the beginning
of May of 1998, and he was cool about it not telling anyone about the
shotgun.

During the middle of May in Vancouver, the Vancouver Police Department
offered "The Hit" little in terms of help. They wanted their
evidence, and they offered to have a squad car do a regular drive by
on Victoria Drive. "The Hit" would never know if the two officers
followed up any further, and he walked home to 910 Victoria drive by
taking Main Street, Hastings Street, and Commercial Drive to Venables
Street where he walked up the hill to Victoria Drive. "The Hit" would
never know if these two officers were even interested in getting to
the bottom of their informants actions. The Vancouver Police
Department had their evidence, and they didn't care what their
informant was doing. When "The Hit" arrived home he loaded the sawed
off shotgun with the 8.1 MM shells. There were 9 small ball bearings
in each shell. That was the only remaining option he had left.

"The Hit" decided that he had to do something about his foot. He
could not remember hurting his foot by twisting his ankle or stubbing
his toe. Yet, if he was going to be able to protect himself he would
need to walk or run. He decided to drop into the Kensington Medical
Clinic in the Kensington Square Mall. Bob gave him a ride to the
clinic because he could not walk. and he was examined by the clinic
doctor. The doctor thought the problem was Gout, however she
suggested X Rays to be certain their was no break. Bob drove "The
Hit" to Laurel Radiology Inc at 2728 Hastings Street East in
Vancouver. "The Hit" had X Rays taken of his foot, and they told him
there appeared to be no break. He returned to the Kensington Medical
Clinic, and he was prescribed Gout medication for the first time in
his life. His medical records will show the appointments with the
Kensington Medical Clinic, Laurel Radiology Inc, and the prescription
for Gout. The medication was quite hard on his stomach, but the
relief was well worth the discomfort. He might need to run from Jimmy
The Junkie, Little Mike, Mike, and Jeff. What was becoming more
important was why did the Mysterious Financier's sub human follow him
to N Ranalagh?

as they entered the Pacific Central Station. He was taking a lot of
heat on the street, however it appeared that a few people were trying
to convince other people. "The Hit" could not believe Jimmy The
Junkie, his crew, and his "Mysterious Financier" were now promoting
him for a hit. "The Note" was clearly talking about home invasions
and Jimmy The Junkie and his Crew? However, "The Hit" felt he was
being watched as he entered the VIA Rail Station. He walked in the
front door, and proceeded to the VIA Rail counter in the Station. He
waited in a short line to purchase his ticket with the St. Brieux
Credit Union debit card. While he waited in line to purchase his
ticket he wondered about "The Note". Could it be that Jimmy The
Junkie, his Crew, and the "Mysterious Financier" were not telling
anyone on the street about what was going on at the time?

In Saskatoon in 1983, "The Hit" hauled in railway ties to make bumpers
around the 3 rd Avenue South and 21 St Street East in parking lot in
Saskatoon with a rented truck from Budget Rent a car. Then, he rented
another lot which was a used car dealership across from the Patritia
Hotel on Second Avenue North in Saskatoon. The Patricia Hotel owned
the property which had a small 2 office building on the property. The
rental contract was signed and another lot went up with only a meter.
This lot filled quickly as the old building on the property got a new
shingles, and the building got new paint. "The Hit" hired Debbie as
secretary for the office, and he hired Tyler and Bernie for
maintenance of the 5 parking lots when the new 3/4 ton truck arrived
for the company. Tyler and Bernie began giving out private parking
violation tickets on the lot on 3 rd Avenue South and 21 St Street
East, and the Saskatoon Police Department came by "The Hit's" office
while he was working on new deal with Crown Tire for a great little
property on 23 rd Street East and Pacific Avenue.

Jimmy The Junky responded by spreading rumours at the wedding in
Winlaw in the Slocan Valley, as Barb and "The Hit" separated in New
Westminster. "The Hit" continued with the auto glass software project
on his own, and he moved to Burnaby where he was followed home by the
Mysterious Financier's Granville Crime family. Then, they were
talking about Guns and Murder behind the house at 88 Ranelagh Avenue,
and "The Hit" discovers that Jimmy The Junkie was using Murder by
Hepatitis C from the Piccadilly Pub when he is diagnosed. "The Hit"
realized Jimmy The Junkie was using a disease to try to Murder The
Hit. "The Hit" fights back by getting Jimmy The Junkie kicked out of
the Piccadilly Pub with Little Mike, and he waves the note to crime
stoppers at them in the black van. "The Note" found legs out of the
Canada Post Mailbox, and Calvin found him for his brother from the
RCMP detachment in Abbotsford. "The Hit" contacts Leo, and he
arranges his estate from the Credit Union in St. Brieux. Leo contacts
MJ with the Telus call, and "The Hit" learns of the main reason he is
on the train from MJ. Finally, he mailed a few gifts from Brentwood
Mall, and he was now on the Canadian Train which just started pulling
east towards Saskatoon.

St. Paul's Hospital
In 1984 in Saskatoon the excessive hours had taken their toll in
Saskatoon. Cindy and "The Hit" separated in the late spring. Melba
also moved out in the spring once they had decided to separate. Cindy
took an apartment of her own in Saskatoon, while "The Hit" continued
to build the parking business. The summer flew by with the
maintenance and management of the parking business. "The Hit" started
to date Diane, and it was soon fall with the addition of a lot located
in front of the Medical Centre on Wall Street. Taylor and his
girlfriend Trish rented the two spare rooms in the house trailer in
Star Trailer Court, and there was no sign of the Clan from Clavet then
either. If fact there was no sign of them at all for several years
now? Meanwhile, the parking company continued to grow through the
fall, and winter. The onerous task of the underground parking
cleaning was back again as the New Year approached.

It was 9 years before MJ contacted The Hit. Neither, The Hit or MJ
had known Cayla to be his daughter. Then MJ went through a difficult
divorce in 1996. MJ proposed that DNA tests should be completed in
the custody battle in the courts. The tests were completed, and they
determined that MJ 's husband of 10 years was not the father. Then MJ
needed to track down The Hit. MJ remembered "The Hit's" brother Leo.
Leo provided shingles for her roof in 1987, when The Hit helped build
a roof on her trailer. MJ was able to find Leo by phone in St.
Brieux, as he has the same surname in the small village. Then because
of Calvin's call from Abbotsford on a newly connected number in
Burnaby, MJ was able to get "The Hit's" new number from Leo. It had
taken MJ a while to find Leo, and eventually she did get The Hit's
number from Leo. MJ and Cayla had been working at contacting for a
while. Meanwhile, The Hit went to the freight desk!
