Passaic County has issued the following Code Blue Alerts beginning on Monday, December 1 through Thursday, December 4, 2025:
- December 1 from 7:00 PM to December 2 at 9:00 AM - December 2 from 11:00 PM to December 3 at 10:00 AM - December 3 from 7:00 PM to December 4 at 9:00 AM - December 4 from 5:00 PM to TBD
Individuals in need of a Warming Center are encouraged to go directly to one of the locations listed below. If you know of, or encounter, an unsheltered individual who may require assistance, please contact the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at (973) 389-5951 and inform them that there is an at-risk individual in need of a welfare check under the Passaic County Code Blue Alert Plan.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities
December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), a day established by the United Nations to promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities in our society. Each year on December 3rd, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities promotes the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. The day raises awareness of the political, economic, social and cultural aspects disability affects people around the world.
Key goals
Promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities in all spheres of society.
Increase awareness of the challenges they face.
Encourage full, equal, and effective participation in society.
Promote an understanding of disability issues.
Mobilize support for the dignity, rights, and well-being of persons with disabilities.
Themes
The annual theme for the IDPD changes, focusing on different aspects of disability inclusion. For example, the 2024 theme was "Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future".
The 2025 theme is "Fostering Disability Inclusive Societies for Advancing Social Progress".This theme focuses on building societies where persons with disabilities are fully included to advance social development and progress for everyone

Support initiatives that promote accessibility and inclusion.
Host training sessions at work to foster an inclusive culture.
Recognize neurodiversity in the workplace.

People who have a non-photo reduced fare card must apply for a photo ID card in order to continue receiving benefits. Applications accepted online.
