MARCH IS Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

During March every year people with disabilities, families, loved ones, professionals organizations and other groups recognize Developmental Disabilities (DD) Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to the lives of people with developmental disabilities. It’s a time to highlight achievements, honor progress, showcase contributions and address ongoing challenges. Starting as a presidential proclamation in 1987 DD Awareness Month now provides an annual opportunity for intentional reflection, celebration and transformation.

Take Action From Home During LegCon

This week is National PTA’s 2026 Legislative Conference (LegCon) and PTA leaders from across the country will be meeting with members of Congress on Capitol Hill to advocate for public schools; immigrant families; and policies that protect children's health, safety and well-being. Even if you won’t be joining us in person at LegCon, you can still make an impact and take action from home!

Use our action alert or text PTA to 50457 to raise your voice and send a message to your members of Congress straight from your phone. And follow National PTA on social media (FacebookInstagram) to see what's going on in real time.
