Telephone Wellness Checks

Telephone Wellness Checks provide peace of mind. This program provides ongoing monitoring, providing scheduled telephoning to homebound isolated individuals to determine if they are safe and well.

Other benefits of these wellness checks are social interaction and friendly conversation. Every Meals-on-Wheels client is called regularly to determine if they are safe and well. Early detection of changes in a client’s condition is referred to a social worker in the department.

Sign-Up for Telephone Wellness Checks

To sign up for Telephone Reassurance, please fill out the form below. For more information or assistance, please call the Passaic County Senior Services Department at (973) 569-4060.

New Jersey Department of Health seeks blood and platelet donations from eligible residents amid a statewide shortage, according to a press release. NJDOH attributes the shortage to the recent winter storm and flu season. The state has a short supply of Type O, A-, and B- red blood cells, and less than one day’s supply of single donor platelets. Eligible residents can make an appointment to give blood at American Red Cross Services, Hunterdon Healthcare, Miller-Keystone Blood Center, New York Blood Center, RWJBarnabas Health, and Vitalant Blood Services.
