Save the date to join AAPD in Washington, DC, for AAPD’s 2026 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Anniversary Celebration on Wednesday, July 22, 2026!

Every year, AAPD’s ADA Celebration brings together disability community leaders, advocates, partners, and elected officials to celebrate the legacy of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the decades of advocacy that led to its passage.

This year, we will recognize the progress made in the 36 years since the ADA’s passage, reflect on the work ahead, and honor those whose leadership made the ADA possible.

The event will begin at 6:30 PM ET at the Rock Creek Ballroom in the Westin DC Downtown (999 9th St NW, Washington, DC).

We hope you will join us for this important evening of community, reflection, and action. Tickets are available now, but space is limited, so be sure to register today!

Your participation supports AAPD’s work to build disability power and advance a more accessible and inclusive future.

Tell Congress to scrap the cap on Social Security.

According to the new annual report, the Social Security trust fund will be depleted, NOT 20 years from now, but in JUST SIX YEARS.

If Congress fails to act, retirees could face benefit cuts of MORE than 20%.

That’s the difference between being able to make ends meet or STRUGGLING to afford groceries, rent, and prescriptions.

We’re gathering signatures to tell Congress to scrap the cap on Social Security taxes so billionaires pay on all of their income like the rest of us — but we need your signature!

Please, sign our petition before midnight: Tell Congress to scrap the cap and make the wealthy pay their fair share.
