The rising cost of health care is affecting all Americans:

👉.png People covered by the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
👉.png People who get insurance through work
👉.png And now, people on Medicare, too!

This week, it was announced that Medicare Part B premiums will go up by about 10 percent in 2026.

So take action with AFSCME Retirees: Call your members of Congress. Tell them to give Americans relief from high health care costs.

Deciding whether to stay with your current coverage or make a change? You have until December 7 to explore all your drug and health coverage options at Medicare.gov/plan-compare. Take a few moments to find a plan that best fits your needs and budget for 2026.

COMPARE PLANS - https://www.medicare.gov/plan-compare/?utm_campaign=20251120_oep_mpf_pfa_gns&utm_content=english&utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery#/?lang=en&year=2026

Tips to help you take action:

  • Log in or create your Medicare account at Medicare.gov/plan-compare. With an account, it's easier to compare plans based on your specific prescriptions and local pharmacies.

  • See if your preferred doctors are in-network for the plans you're considering.

  • Think about what benefits matter to you. Your health care needs may change year-to-year, and not all plans offer the same benefits.

Even if you're happy with your current coverage, it's important to check for any changes next year, and compare with other available options. You may save money, find better coverage, or both!
