Hi All,

Couple of Messages:

1) It's come to my attention that the Glen Lennox Googlegroup is not
working well - technically - and will not be the vehicle of
communicating info that I thougt it was going to be. The Glen Lennox
Neighborhood googlegroup was set up in April this year - at the
request of the Steering Committee that purports to represent all
neighbors within the purposed NCD boundary as well as adjacent
neighbors (Greenwood) and those sympathetic to saving Glen Lennox. It
was administered on an ad hoc basis and whatever technical problems
there are with it, are beyond the time and technical capabilities of
the administrator. SO WE NEED ANOTHER VEHICLE FOR COMMUNICATING AND
THE Little Creek/Flemington googlegroup will be the one I use for the
time being to pass on info.

2) The Steering Committee has not met since before the last Town
Council meeting and

3) As far as I know tonight, there is no plan for convening a
Steering Committee meeting before the August 19 meeting of the
Planning Board.

4) Many active members of LCNA and the GLN Steering Committee have
been or will be out of town. We had been meeting at the Church on
Sunday nights, but no one has stepped forward to organize the next
meeting.

5) To my knowledge, this period of inactivity of the Steering
Committtee has been a breather from a previously hectic period and
also a function of time.

6) Someone reported to me that the Steering Committee was referred to
as the "Developer's Steering Committee." As a member of this
Committee who has spent some time attempting to build an understanding
of where we are and where we want to go, I am offended by this
characterization. If there are any among us in the LCNA or GLN who
feel mis-represented or mis-understood, I would appreciate you
contacting me personally. I am your neighbor. I do not work for or
have any financial interest in Grubb properties, and I am very much
for the preservation of Glen Lennox apartments. As far as I know, no
other Steering Committee has done anything against the consensus of
the Steering Committee. So, if there is mis-understanding, get it to
me and I will confront the Steering Committee when we next meet - or
come yourself. And if there is a better means of representing the
broad interest of the neighborhood, please propose it in some way we
might act on it.
