Question of the moment:

Return back in time to the day you saw your first episode of Gilmore
Girls. Which one was it and what caught your attention (and made you
watch week after week)?

Elise's answer:

Personally, it was "The Deer Hunters", from the first season. I
honnestly don't remember exactly what caught my attention. The whole
"I got hit by a deer" storyline was very funny in it's sweet little
way. So I tuned in the following week to watch "Cinnamon's Wake". I
loved that episode. I could relate to the character of Rory, a lot.
>From that point on I was hooked, and was regretting that I had missed
the first episodes, which I enventually saw.

Take a few minutes to reminisce about these early years of Gilmore
Girls. All answers are welcome. I will chose some of them to appear
in an upcomming issue of the newsletter. Speaking of which, I would
like to increase the number of subscribers, so invite your friends who
enjoy the show to join. I am also looking for content. So far I have
a few music videos, a poem and some fan art. But I want to read what
you have to say!

Looking foward to hearing/reading from you.

My first Gilmore Girls episode was the Pilot. I decided to watch it
because when I heard the word Gilmore I thought of a private school in
my area so I thought it might have something to do with a private or
prep school, and it did. I was in my first year at my prep school when
this show came on so that it why i could relate to it at first becuase
i could sympathise with what Rory was feeling at her new school. As i
kept watching and my love for the show grew (almost to a point of
obsession) and I was hooked within the frist few airings.

My first GG episode was "A tisket, a tasket" (2.13). I remember that I
was bored and GG just made me happy for the day. I felt very attracted
to the idea of Jess and Rory being together. I loved the chemistry
between them, specially when they were talking in the little Stars
Hollow bridge. Jess eated something horrible, and Rory laughed at him;
it made me laugh too. And I really liked the way they talked: the
references to Silvia Plath and other writers were very intelligent and
smart, and I felt I really wanted to have someone like Jess to talk
about things like that. And I was so much like Rory! I read a lot (I
still do), so it was kinda like if I was there with Jess. His
character... well, I just loved it, his attitude, his sarcasm. Since
then, I really like Milo Ventimiglia, and I love the fact that Rory is
half angentinian, because I live in Argentina. I've never seen her
just walking around the city, of course, but I've always have the idea
of just running into her.
That episode was the first I saw, and since then, I haven't been able
to stop. I was very sad when the show was over; but now I am happy
that I still have the old episodes to dream that the series
continues.
I hope my message is what you (MissCoffee) were looking for, and that
my english is good enough. By the way, I want you to know that I like
very much the idea of a GG newsletter.
PS: I remembered something very importante: in that episode and all
the others from all seasons, I just loved cranky Luke!
