Seven seasons. 153 episode. Over 6 thousand minutes.

Most of us have seen our fair share of Gilmore Girls. Now I'm looking
for your favourite moments from the show. Birthdays, big decisions,
goodbyes, weddings, graduations, births, deaths, engagements, first
kisses, accidents, big fights, business endeavors, etc. They don't
necessarily have to be positive moments. However, these are moments
that moved you or affected you in some way.

I'll try to list a few, but there are so many :

The very first scene - Lorelai in pink begging for some coffee

Rory's 16 Birthday Party at home - I read it was filmed during
Alexis' actual party, which makes total sense because it feels so
natural

" You first ! " at the end of the first season

The Daisies sent by Max

The beautiful close-up shot of each member of the town in Bon Voyage

Rory and Lorelai running under an umbrella in Bon Voyage

All the episodes involving a special event in Stars Hollow : The Dance
Marathon, The Festival of Living Art, The Stars Hollow Museum, The Hay
Bale Maze...

The 100th episode - " You and me, we're done "

Lorelai's breakdown in Say Something

Paris kissing Rory in Girls in Bikinis, Boys Doing the Twist

Dave kissing Lane with The Man Who Sold the World in the background
( I love Dave, he was a wonderful character )

The Rodeo in Town, Do not buy it just because it's furry

God lives in London, Oy with the poodles already !, Copper Boom :
those are some of the phrases that will forever have the Gilmore
imprint on them.

Kirk fighting Troubadour Judas in The Festival of Living Art, Kirk
trying to sell hay shampoo, A Film by Kirk

The " Happy birthday, little girl " moment

Rory's speech at her Chilton graduation

The song for the credits, which I think perfectly fits the show : "
Where you lead, I will follow "

Jumping with an umbrella like Mary Poppins

One word : Paris. Paris screaming each time Rory opened an enveloppe

Michel and Lorelai dancing and smiling

Emily and Lorelai the " Mother/Daughter team " dancing and laughing in
Like Mother, Like Daughter

Rory having a hard time choosing one book to bring to class, and
bringing one of each genre

Rory making her début and lifting her finger to look like a lady while
eating her hamburger

Babette pushing and rolling Cinnamon to make sure she's dead

Miss Patty's ballerinas having a Harry Potter book on their head

" Thank you " from Rory to Dean

Dean : So it's a show ?
Rory : It's a lifestyle
Lorelai : It's a religion
... applied to The Donna Reed Show but which could perfectly apply to
our girls

Rory talking relativism at Harvard

Rory and Jess in a carriage at the Bracebridge Dinner

Bjork !

Lorelai and Emily stealing a robe together

Lorelai moving her tassel from one side to the other

Luke pushing Jess in the lake

The cassette Luke listens to in Luke Can See Her Face

Take the Deviled Eggs - this is one hilarious episode, I swear

The actress playing young Lorelai in Dear Emily and Richard, the
flashbacks in the same episode

Rory's text message to Lorelai " Come back !!!!! "

Luke and Lorelai dancing in Last Week Fights, This Week Tights

Rory and Lorelai singing with Pippi

Kirk, the town whore

Lorelai proposing to Luke

Lorelai and Christopher watching Funny Face in his car

The Swing Dolls singing The Andrews Sisters' songs

The lalala, the many references to movies ( I laughed and laughed when
Lorelai said " Well, he'll always have Paris " talking about Asher, or
during the many The Godfather references )

I have to know where you are all the time, especially when you have my
shoes on

Luke keeping the horoscope

That's it, folks !

Lorelai showing up for first day at Chilton wearing "cowgirl"
clothing! :D

Paris giving Rory an unexpected kiss to get attention from young men,
and then getting drunk on the beach!

Random girl in hallway - "is it raining outside?"
Paris - "No it's national Baptism day! Get your tubes tied, moron!"

Anyway, hello ladies, and thank you for the invitation! I'll think of
a few (dozen?) more in a few days.
Rick
