Analysis- The song starts with Jasleen browsing through a set of books in the library. She stumbles on the book about Heer Ranjha which takes her to the fantasy world. These lines become the context and the background for the video to come and the story to move forward. It is a flight of fancy that Jasleen takes and wants to have a love that is everlasting. As she reads ahead, the dream seems like a reality.
Analysis- See how the overwhelming emotions and the feelings stop him from expressing freely. He also does not want to express the sorrow of separation to make it more difficult. She looks at him and remembers all the fond memories and moments to cherish. While she does that, she realizes that the fantasy world is the place wherein the story ends in a particular way. Heer and Ranjha did not unite in life but in death. That need not be the case in reality now. She chooses to rectify this error. She rewrites the story and makes it possible for them to unite and stay together. There is a unity now and the reality is what they want. The world is freer and the restrictions are not imposed by external forces but by our own fallacies, insecurities, and thoughts. She makes the two meet and stay together.
Jasleen rewrites the classic story wherein the Prince does not rescue the princess. The princess does not need rescuing in the first place. She is able to rescue herself. All she wants is the company of someone who loves and cares for her which she gets from the prince. The prince happily reciprocates this idea. But there is also an idea of sacrifice for the love for it to be eternal. It need not be so. Sacrifice is not the epitome of love. Love is what they make of it. This is what the song says and retells the classic story with new ideas and gives it a modern touch. It is beautifully portrayed by the team including Dulqueer Salmaan, Jasleen Royal, and Aditya Sharma.

The song is not even something very old as it was launched just two months ago. Within minutes of its release the song got a very rare level of traction, something which almost guaranteed it to be a chartbuster, a promise on which it delivered on splendidly as is evident.
Dulquer Salmaan took to social media and shared the poster of his upcoming Hindi music video Heeriye with Jasleen Royal. The song is sung by Jasleen and Arijit Singh. This marks Dulquer's first music project as an actor. He reportedly agreed to the music video because of the mutual admiration he has for the musical duo.
