Well today's lecture has definitely helped me further understand
Gilgamesh! I'll be honsest...I'm probably the worst procrastinator
there is and I put the story off until last night. Needless to say I
finished reading it, but I obtained no where near the amount of
information that we discussed in class today. The epic was actually
very interesting! And the lecture definitely helped me notice some
things that I didn't catch on to the first time. It was interesting to
hear the viewpoint on how going into the Forest of Cedars could relate
to the the situation in Iraq....as well as the whole innocence/
experience thing.

Maybe next time we can have a discussion before we take the quiz! ;)
(just kidding)

I agree. The class participation allows you to see different views,
input and definite insight on the subject. I read Gilgamesh and
actually liked it and related it to several things in my life.
However, I did not internalized the agricultural part with the bread
and the wine - now that is deep. I am a superficial reader.
Unfortunate for me, I will have to try to develop my study skills.
