I think that the determination to get home no matter what is a quality
that defines Odysseus even more than his cunning and wisdom. Without
that determination to get home, all of his wisdom and cunning would
have been useless. He could of just sat there with Circe or Calyspo
for the rest of his days hanging out, but he didn't. He might have
been delayed a bit, but in the end he still was determined to get
home. It can be argued, but I think that he wouldn't have made it home
at all without his determination. I think wisdom and cunning are born
through action, and determination fuels that action.
