Export formats?

Hi,
I was wondering if there was more information on the version formats that lithosphere can export?
I notice that exporting the terrain as an obj creates a rather large ~200 mb obj mesh, which seems to be the best option so far. I've read that the material can export to png, however I have yet to have any successful .png saves with the lithosphere save function. Also is there any information on the .farr heightmap export format? Is this similar to a pixel based system and what other programs can actually use a farr file format?
