Description of the issue:
I need to use the Roboform password manager. I looked at the extensions screen, and I do not see it available. Doyou ever plan to make it available to users? If not, I will need to use another browser.
How can this issue be reproduced?

I could not get my Roboform extension to work properly - the main issue was the option for showing the lower toolbar did not show up in its options. After process of elimination, I can say that it definitely is the Exploit Protection in MB. When Exploit Protection is off, the Roboform extension in Chrome works fine and all options work. When it is Exploit Protection is on, the Roboform Chrome extension does not work. I tried excluding the whole folder and several files that Roboform support told me could be the problem, but that does not work. Is there something else I can do? Can this be fixed? It must be a pretty new problem, because I did not notice it before today.

I have already done this on the advice of RF support. No conflicts between extensions. The only thing that causes the problem to go away/return is enabling MB exploit protection for Google Chrome. I'm not sure what you mean by "looks like your external is having issues as well." I did reboot the machine and ran the log gathering tool again (new results attached) to see if there is any difference. I know that MB and Bitdefender have some issues. But I have been using both for years now. And this problem just developed this week, so I wonder if there was a change in the MB exploit definitions?

It takes Chrome to start RoboForm's process rf-chrome-nm-host.exe (so named native messaging host) to let RoboForm extension work in co-operation with RoboForm for Desktop that makes the lower toolbar available in Chrome.
The problem is that Chrome does not starts rf-chrome-nm-host.exe directly, it starts cmd.exe first, and the Exploit Protection option makes your security software treat cmd.exe started by the browser as a potential threat.
As the result, RoboForm's process cannot start, either, and adding RoboForm files in your security software white list cannot help as your antimalware does not ban RoboForm's process indeed, it bans cmd.exe.

Unlike Chrome, Firefox does not need cmd.exe, it starts RoboForm's process directly (please don't be confused with 'chrome' in the name of rf-chrome-nm-host.exe, this is intended for all browsers with RoboForm extension including Firefox).
This problem is not a RoboForm issue and cannot be fixed in RoboForm, neither we could explain why it takes to start cmd.exe first to run native messaging host for the browser (this would affect any extension that needs native messaging).

am i missing something, but keepass does not ask you to store username, password like roboform did? Also it does not offer automatic login like roboform did...am I missing something? Do I need a plugin for chrome?

The last regular release of Firefox that will support old-style extensions is Firefox 56, so that doesn't take you very far. The Extended Support Release of Firefox 52 will continue to run old-style extensions and get security updates through next June.

WebExtensions just aren't as powerful as the traditional Firefox extensions have been. So we will need to get used to Firefox not being as extensible as it has been. IMO, Mozilla is looking for parity with Google Chrome, (no longer a trail browser with Firefox as it once was, now a copy cat or mimic of what more popular have done - meeting the lower standards of what users want or expect) to make it easier for developers to create one extension for most all browsers, with little additional work to adapt it to each specific browser brand

Overall, as a 15 year user from the days of Phoenix 0.3, I am not happy with what I see and have been seeing for quite awhile now. So I am still using an old ESR 38 version for my "heavy lifting" from before the "signing" thing started my extensions dropping like flies. I plan on waiting until after Firefox 60 comes out before I waste much time trying to config the "new" Firefox to my liking.

I went to version 52 and it worked until I restarted so I guess it applied the roboform update at that time so I downgraded roboform itself to 8.3.5.5 and it came back even in the newest Firefox. I don't know how long it will keep working.

Hi All,I'm so annoyed with the recent changes in the last few updates to Firefox that I just have to vent my frustration.I've been a loyal user of Firefox since I learned of its respect for its users Privacy/Security & made the change from IE about 1 week after starting using my first computer...I was using XP at the time, so you know how long I've been loyal. I was especially pleased that Firefox also allowed as much customization of its browser, so I was led down the proverbial "primrose path" of being able to have extensions, themes & add-ons that I used to make MY Firefox MINE. Sadly, Firefox has chosen to join most of the other tech-related entities, who have decided that using a PC is supposed to be all work & no play, leaving many users, like myself, very unhappy that their once fun-looking browser now looks like a sad, cold, bare-bones collection of 2-toned stick drawings and downright ugly icons. The recent stripping of Toolbars has hit me particularly hard, as I rely heavily on RoboForm for remembering my ever-growing number of Passwords. I've learned that Firefox no longer supports Toolbars, & from the many posts I've read in the last several days, Firefox doesn't care to let the users decide what they want installed on their browser...as usual, we Toolbar-lovers have to give up something we rely on, & by doing so, we lose yet another chunk of our, "freedom to customize". I know this might seem like a petty issue to many, but I'm deeply saddened that I have to give in & give up...yet again...something that I need, just because it doesn't fit into the plan to make using a computer an ugly job. I truly miss those days of Windows 98 & XP when even Microsoftlet us customize everything from the fonts & colors used on tabs, to one of dozens of creative & enjoyable sounds for the different tasks done...we even had at least a dozen screensavers to choose from, (all of which were customizable, as well). Look at the puny number of choices we have today! The sounds available are awful, (compare the realistic "Ta Da" of XP to the monotone one of Windows 10!), & now, even our beloved Firefox is stripping down to be as boring, ugly & uncustomizable as everything else. Maybe I'm alone with these opinions, but I truly miss the good old days when using a PC was fun. I apologize if I've offended anyone with my comments, but I really hope that Firefox doesn't take anything else away from me. As far as losing my very-much-needed RoboForm Toolbar, it's very hard for me to take, as I use it constantly throughout the day. How I wish Firefox would remember how it used to brag about how "customizable" it was. Today it's a mere shadow of its former self. RIP customization freedom...you are sorely missed.

Some quality-of-life improvements are present, too, the most notable of which is web access. Instead of needing to use the Chrome extension, you can log in and access your RoboForm account from any web browser. The Everywhere plan also supports two-factor authentication, adding a layer of security to online access.

The installer is more involved, but in a good way. In addition to getting the local application set up, the installer will also enable the extension in your choice of Internet Explorer, Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Opera. You can also choose to have RoboForm fill and save fields from Windows applications.

There were a couple of other quirks we noticed while testing RoboForm. Its website doesn't advertise a free trial or money-back guarantee, but that's not actually the case. According to its terms of use, you can request a refund within 30 days of purchase. When we installed the Chrome extension, we automatically got a 30-day free trial of the Everywhere plan.

We couldn't find the live chat in the Android app or Chrome extension. It was only available on RoboForm's support center. To use it, we had to enter our name and email address. We got a speedy response, and the representative was helpful.

I like RoboForm because it is a password manager and generator for different platforms, since today all our work and life depends on the internet and we have a lot of information on our different devices, such as passwords for very confidential accounts from our jobs, passwords for our credit or debit cards that we have to have insurance, RoboForm has a Google Chrome browser extension that gives us access to our accounts with a master key.

Roboform (Password Manager by Siber Systems) Google Chrome extension is automatically disabled every time Google Chrome in started. User has to go into Chrome Extensions page and manually enable it. This enables the extension and it works fine, but only for that single session. When Google Chrome is launched next time, the Roboform extension is disabled again.

After you download the crx file for RoboForm 9.5.6.0, open Chrome's extensions page (chrome://extensions/ or find by Chrome menu icon > More tools > Extensions), and then drag-and-drop the *.crx file to the extensions page to install it.

I will ask the product manager about this - maybe in a some form of "user defined extensions" that the user can pick up for use with Safepay, but I will tell you from the start that this will break the very foundation Safepay was built - create a secure, isolated session for the user to work with. While I completely understand the fact that productivity extensions are invaluable for a day-to-day browser, when it comes to security we are trying to cut off from the rest of the world. Also, Safepay is not intended for day to day browser usage - that is why it is asking for an URL to be opened, or opens it automatically *only* is marked as clean *and* a bank and not for everything else.
