Dearest readers,

Matt DiGangi and myself are working steadily along on the submissions pile and other necessary things that need doing for the new version of dispatch. If you've never heard of Matt DiGangi, check out thievesjargon.com. He's got a trustworthy crew handling things for him over there these days, and so he's come to help us bring dispatch to similar awesome. Or something like that. Anyways we're working on it, and we are still on track to release 3.1 on 1 January. Believe me, it will be worth the wait.

I wanted to take a moment to also inform everyone of an essay contest I am running at Girls with Insurance. It's an essay contest. It might be fun. Details here: frsh.in/ge

Also, Jennifer A. Bridges has taken over at slingshot. Something had to be done. Be sure to send her some stuff and so forth. slingshot is at http://litareview.com/slingshot and should have been publishing all this time. I guess "supplement to dispatch litareview" never quite made sense to certain folks, but, ah, life goes on. I wish Jennifer the best in editing it and Josh the best in whatever he's onto now.

Well, thanks for actually receiving this e-mail. That means a lot. Means at one time or another you believed in this project. Hopefully your belief does not wane too terribly.

The best is yet to come. Third time is going to be much better than the first and a little better the second.

Most likley.

And don't be afraid to spread the word. Literature doesn't have to be a closet fetish.

Yours,
phm
