Hello all,
I’m writing to connect with individuals and organizations who may be interested in discussing and sharing metagnostic health experiences. Metagnosis occurs with diagnosis of a previously unobserved pathology, such as when one learns of colorblindness; it can also occur when the diagnostic classification shifts, as frequently occurs with ADHD and autism spectrum diagnoses. I named and explored this phenomenon in Metagnosis: Revelatory Narratives of Health and Identity (Oxford UP 2021):
