A new medical humanities web site

Dear Colleagues,
I would like to draw your attention to medhum.org. an online collaborative dedicated to cultivating empathy and critical thinking in healthcare, culture, and the arts. We invite submissions of essays and reviews (book, film, and other media) that deal with the intersection of the humanities, social sciences, and healthcare. We are open to submissions from healthcare professionals and the public as well as students and trainees.
Many subscribers to this listserv will have been familiar with the New York University (NYU) Medicine Literature, Arts and Medicine Database and will have been among those who used it as a rich resource. Many of the former editors of the Database are now on our Editorial Board, and several of their previous contributions are now accessible on MedHum, in addition to new content and expanded media forms.
MedHum is a New York nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Lucy Bruell, who served as Editor-in-Chief of the Database for 12 years, serves in the same capacity for MedHum.
