All are welcome at our upcoming hybrid seminar from Professor Linda Bryder: Health professionals and vaccine mandates: a New Zealand case study
Wednesday 18 October 2023: 13.00-14.00 UK time
In this seminar, Professor Linda Bryder will trace the history of the midwifery sector in New Zealand and its attitudes to early childhood immunization. Reflecting on recent Covid-19 vaccine mandates for all health workers and the controversies that they inspired, particularly amongst midwives, she will examine how a philosophy that some described as 'anti-science' became entrenched within the profession.
